Atticus’s Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground
Chapter 1115 - 1115: ScatteredChaos.
That was the word that could accurately describe all that was currently unfolding.
One second, the humans were pleading for their Apex not to abandon them and fight.
The paragons of humanity, Evolari, and Nullite had all felt a wave of dread slam into them and were steeling themselves for the end when they saw the overwhelming force that was the Gardener.
The tension had spiked.
But just as it reached its peak, Whisker suddenly appeared.
First, many were shocked to discover that the Gardener was Whisker’s brother. Atticus hadn’t deemed that piece of news necessary, so he hadn’t explained. In fact, he hadn’t even told them that he got all the information from Whisker.
Many immediately became confused. If Whisker was the Gardener’s brother, then shouldn’t he be on the other side, standing against them?
Regardless, none of them were given a chance to comprehend the revelation before both brothers uttered one word.
“Manifest.”
For a very brief second, all they felt was their will melting. It was as though their souls were shrinking, afraid to even raise their heads in the presence of the brothers’ overwhelming wills.
Their bodies no longer felt like their own. Their thoughts dimmed. They felt the urge to submit…
But that feeling disappeared in a jolt, just as Atticus’s crimson will enveloped them.
Their wills returned. Their bodies reawakened. The earlier dominance vanished.
‘W-What was that…?’
Avalon thought with growing dread as he steadied himself mid-air.
That brief moment when Whisker and the Gardener’s wills washed over them had made him feel as though life wasn’t worth living. As though the only way out was death. To submit.
‘Then how did it stop…?’
The pressure had almost crushed them before it suddenly faded.
As Avalon’s eyes darted around, he saw Magnus and the other paragons still reeling from the earlier flood of dominance. Then his gaze landed on the crimson glow surrounding them, and his eyes widened.
His head snapped upward.
Atticus was there, hovering above them, his body wrapped in a blazing crimson light.
He had protected them.
“Atticus!”
Avalon called out before he knew it.
Just as Atticus sent a glance back toward him, the Gardener’s voice thundered across the skies.
“KILL THEM ALL!”
An overwhelming aura erupted from the distance, slamming down like a falling mountain.
The paragons turned.
Their eyes narrowed, locking onto Elderish as he rose to his feet, his figure radiating nothing but killing intent. A violent, focused intent aimed directly at them.
In the next second, he vanished.
The paragons’ wide eyes shot up.
Atticus had vanished as well. Then…
BOOM!
The explosive clash of their collision echoed across the sky, rattling bones and eardrums alike.
And then came the wave.
A surge so intense, so devastating, it rendered them completely helpless. The force slammed into them, flinging them like leaves in a storm.
They were sent flying, along with the thousands of massive domes holding the humans.
Two collisions.
Two cataclysmic forces unleashed.
Each one powerful enough to nearly destroy every other person present.
At the first point, Whisker’s azure beast will clashed head-on with the Gardener’s light green will.
It felt like a black vortex had formed at the point of impact. The air around them trembled violently, everything getting sucked in at a terrifying pace.
But then… it became clear.
They were evenly matched.
Many might not have thought much of it. Just two powerful beings at odds.
Evenly matched opponents weren’t rare.
But to the Gardener… it wasn’t normal.
His expression twisted as shock appeared across his face. His eyes widened.
Since when had their last born gotten this powerful!?
And then, the Gardener smiled.
“I see you’ve improved, last born. You’ve been busy—”
But before he could finish, Whisker cut him off.
“Oh please, Solven. Don’t start your yapping again. Don’t pretend. We’re not buddies. In fact, you’re one of the ugliest people I know, both inside and out.”
Whisker’s voice turned glacier.
“I want to kill you. That’s all you need to know.”
The Gardener’s expression contorted instantly.
“I told you never to call me that name again!”
His will flared, and the green vines instantly lashed out with more ferocity.
But Whisker’s gaze only turned colder.
With a single thought, his beast will roared in response.
As their clash intensified, the aura of dominance thickened, pressing down on every single being across the battlefield.
Meanwhile, at the second collision, the one between Atticus and Elderish that had sent all the paragons hurtling away, things played out differently.
This time, the clash had only lasted for a brief moment before one was sent hurtling backward at blinding speed.
“Atticus!”
Avalon’s voice boomed across the sky as he saw Atticus being launched away from the scene.
Despite everything, Atticus’s eyes stayed locked on Avalon as he flew. His gaze narrowed, and though he didn’t say a word, Avalon heard him loud and clear.
Protect them.
‘Leave them to me.’
Avalon nodded, fists clenched tight.
Just then, another sharp sound of air tearing split through the sky.
A streak of light surged forward, following Atticus’s path like a comet.
Elderish had followed up.
With Atticus and Elderish gone, and Whisker and his brother fighting high above the sky, this left the warriors of the Human, Evolari, and Nullite races on one side, facing the Dimensari, Vampyros, and Dragon races on the other.
The aura of dominance between Whisker and the Gardener still pressed down on everyone.
It didn’t differentiate between ally and foe, it affected everyone the same way.
At this point, they had all descended from the skies, landing on the vine-filled ground, trying to stay as far away as possible from the wills of the brothers clashing above.
Still, the warriors below the Paragon rank found it hard to breathe, let alone walk.
Only the paragons of the respective races could move, and even then, they had to exert a great deal of effort just to keep going.
The instant the shockwave had slammed onto them from Atticus and Elderish’s collision, the Human paragons had rushed to steady the domes holding the humans.
And after securing them and landing them gently on the ground, they turned to face the enemy.
Despite the aura pressing down on them, the Dimensari, Vampyros, and Dragon race paragons still looked at them with pure hatred, killing intent radiating off their entire bodies.
It was obvious.
Despite the chaos, they were still going to fight.
