Dark Magus Returns
Chapter 1202 - 1202: Factions Working Together (Part 1)Raze walked out of the town of Flendon and made rounds with Amir. He asked him for a favor, if he could visit each of the clan heads that were joining them.
Some he knew, such as Gunther from the Flowing Force Clan who was now the current leader. Others he had seen before, when the Deleter had attacked as well.
What was surprising was that nearly all of the Dark Faction Clans had agreed to come.
“Is this because of my presence?” Raze asked.
“In a way,” Amir answered. “There are many people that respect you being leader of the Dark Faction and where you rose it from. Some were even frustrated with the top clans and how Murkel had run things before, but to be honest, what had brought the Dark Faction clans closer to you than anything was when the Deleter had come to the academy.
“Your actions, and you paying your respects to each of the fallen members made them truly respect you. It’s strange. The attack was maybe meant to tear the Dark Faction apart, but instead, it had brought them all together like this.
“They are very aware that the ones behind this are Alter and the Light Faction. I have been doing a lot to spread the truth of the matter to the Dark Factions.”
Raze was grateful that he had someone like Amir on his side to look after the Dark Faction in his place. What was good was he had the Bonum Society members already spread through the Dark Faction.
He had his own goal in all of this—getting the Golden Globe back that once belonged to them. So he was willing to go through it all to help Raze.
After making the rounds with everyone that would help and be in this fight with him, including many of the students, Raze was ready to leave.
“Wait!” a voice shouted from behind. When Raze turned around, he was quite surprised to see that it was Aurora of all people.
“Take me with you,” she said, huffing and panting. She wasn’t a Pagna warrior, so it wasn’t usual for her to do so much physical activity.
“I know I won’t be able to do much in the fight. Or anything at all, but I can’t just sit here while you’re going off for some grand battle, trying to find a way for me—or for us—to get back. It’s not right… I won’t get in the way, I won’t get involved, I’ll stay clear at the back… but I need to see what you’re going through. I need to see what everyone will be going through… it’s just not right.”
The talk that Raze had with her last night—it must have affected her in a way. After getting all of the details about her brother Alen from her, she had asked a few questions as to what exactly was happening.
Not just the rumors she would hear as she walked on the street or while in the town hall, she wanted the truth, and Raze did his best to explain.
And now, she was right here.
“I promised your brother that I would not let you get harmed,” Raze stated. “If you join this battle, then it will be harder for me to keep that promise to him.”
“I know,” Aurora said. “I know I can’t join the fight, and it would just make people worry. I’m just asking to come and see what is happening with my own eyes. I’ll stay out of the way, and if it gets too dangerous, move as far away as I can… It’s going to be a big war, right? I’ll be able to stay far away.”
Raze let out a sigh and didn’t say anything but turned around as he ordered the rest of the Dark Faction clans and allies along with him.
“We move to the Neverfall Clan!” Raze declared.
All of the warriors shouted in one loud grunt. “ARGHH!”
Right after, as the warriors started to move, the town was cheering them off as hard as they could, wishing them victory and for them to come back safely. Seeing how Raze said nothing, Aurora decided to tag along as well.
The group ventured at a jogging pace. Everyone was a warrior, so it was quite easy for them to do. For the warriors themselves, they had never seen movement of this many clans moving together.
It was impressive as they stared to their right—their fellow clans from the same faction—and to the left, the same. It was starting to hit them a little as to what was about to come for them.
Eventually, they could see something up ahead—a force that was almost as large as theirs standing, another 13,000 or so members that had arrived.
Soon running by Raze’s side, Lince had suddenly appeared right next to him.
“Your words seemed to connect with them,” Lince commented. “Either that, or the fact that the Deleters attacked us really annoyed some of these clans.”
It was quite ironic. Their attempts at finishing off significant members and a large force of the clans might be the reason for their downfall.
Everyone who was a warrior knew it was hard to get two clans working together from the same faction, but to make it so the clans from different factions were working together—it took quite a lot.
Eventually, Raze had arrived at the large force that had lined up, each with their clan leader standing in front of the warriors they had brought with them.
Again, just like with the Dark Faction, Raze went to each of the clan leaders and thanked them for coming, but they bowed down and gave respect, thanking him that they could be a part of this.
After meeting each of the clan heads, Raze did have one thing to ask.
“Did you ask them about my request?” Raze asked. “The request I made to all of the Demonic Clans?”
