Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4113: Destroying the Stormshadow Sect

Aric Stormsong's protector waved his hand. A rope flew out from his sleeve, swinging towards Soaren Goldsun without a hint of warning. White lightning crackled over its body, threatening to destroy anything in its path, but in reality, it was something else.

Only the Stormshadow Patriarch was barely able to catch a glimpse of it with how fast it swung. He knew it was a sealing artifact used by the Stormsong Family. It was similar to the standard issue lightning rope that the Stormsong Family uses to deal with Fiends and criminals, but it also works quite well on normal people. It was identical to that but quite strong.

He knew Soaren Goldsun was done with this one attack that was going to capture him and put him on an execution platform again.

"…!"

Just as he sneered, the rope was stopped in its tracks as a foggy silhouette abruptly appeared in front of them, causing him to be shocked. The white radiance of the rope didn't seem to penetrate the fog, disallowing people to see who the person who stopped it was.

However, Aric Stormsong's protector looked as though he had the greatest shock of his life. He instantly grabbed Aric Stormsong and gained distance as he retreated.

"Retreat!"

The Stormshadow Sect's Patriarch was one step late in issuing the retreat command. The disciples still followed and retreated without a retort, but suddenly, they realized no one was near them. When they looked around, all they saw was dense fog.

The current situation struck their hearts with fear as it was too sudden.

They didn't even see any attack coming. One moment, the air was clear, and the sky was sunny, but now, it was dark and full of fog. They couldn't even see the buildings around them. Some tried to run straight into a building, but they realized that no matter how they ran, they couldn't hit anything. It was as though they were thrown into a vast fog land.

Just as a disciple tried shouting, he realized someone grabbed his head from behind.

"I'll take that."

His entire body was suddenly swallowed inside and crushed under the weight of a terrifying force munching on him.

A fifty-meter tall Azure Dragon with azure and dark scales spread its wings and shot at another disciple- victim and swallowed him whole. A nearby disciple was captured by its arm and thrown into its jaws. Razor-sharp teeth clenched from both sides, piercing and crushing, making blood flow.

"Hmm! Humans are the best but need more."

King flapped his wings, causing darkness might to radiate. The already dark field became a slaughterhouse instantly, leaving behind ten more lacerated corpses. Just as he collected them and ate them, the others were also done.

He looked into the distance and saw two more Empyrean Beasts wreaking havoc.

Six heads jutted out in the distance, each one having multiple humans in its jaws as it ate. There even seemed to be that mastiff. It seemed to have killed the most.

"Gralex, damn it. Leave some for me."

King appeared by his side and looked at his magical beast form with some curiosity. Gralex had turned into a Six-Headed Hydra.

A single head stopped eating and glared at the Azure Dragon that still had four eyes, "Don't look at me. Rakshira killed them all before I could even collect thirty of them."

"Where's that Patriarch?"

"She killed him too."

"That woman…!"

King begrudgingly growled. The only times he got to eat tasty humans were times like this, but Rakshira was faithful to the mission and quickly eliminated any enemies. He knew this woman was looking to rise in cultivation more than having fun.

He looked above and saw an azure kirin flying past him back to where Soaren Goldsun was.

"Heh!"

With a harrumph, he also followed her back since their mission was to retrieve the Goldsun Clan in one piece.

In the opposite distance, Illumina stood before the silent protector who used the sealing rope on her. Her eyes were wide with an unforgiving emotion. However, her gaze wasn't at him but at Aric Stormsong, who seemed to be quivering behind the protector.

"Wait, this can be discussed!"

The protector raised his hands in trepidation and requested Illumina to be patient. Behind him was a wall of fog that didn't let him leave. This woman before him was too powerful for him to do anything about it. He understood that the moment she caught his sealing artifact rope.

"Our stealth mission is ruined because of you. How are you going to atone for this sin?"

Illumina glared at Aric Stormsong with killing intent.

In fact, they were already here a few hours earlier. They had been working stealthily to set up a giant illusion formation around the Goldsun Clan to rescue them and not leave behind a trace, as the illusion formation would do its job of making people imagine that the Goldsun Clan was still here.

By the time the townspeople realized, they would've been long gone.

However, this wasn't even the most important part. The formation was already done. But the crux of the issue was that Fenren would take longer to head to the Starlight Jade Wolf Lower Realm. They couldn't start early and expose Fenren's tracks, but because of this supreme idiot, they started early.

There had been causalities in the Goldsun Clan, which stained their name.

She knew Soaren Goldsun held himself back from making a move because his brother Fenren's family was also important, but that led to the deaths of two old-timers. Even she couldn't forget that scene of ultimate sacrifice, making her want to rip apart this supreme genius to shreds.

Illumina used her illusion technique to entrap these people and activate the formation disc, which Lest provided. All they had to do was place it in appropriate positions and activate it. They had done it a few times when they were with him, so it had been easy.

Nonetheless, the formation disc also possessed a function that did not let any transmission escape from its field. She hoped that it was powerful enough to deter the means of these Upper Realms fools, or else, it was Fenren who would be in danger.

As for Andiron, he should already be in position and moving to save his Blackryst Clan's people.

"What do you mean I need to atone? It's obvious that you lackeys of that damned Anarchic Divergent all need to die!"

Aric Stormsong yelled out from behind the protector.

"…!" The protector directly looked back and glared at him, wanting to kill him, but he knew if he did that, he would die as he was soul-bound to this fool.

Suddenly, his scalp turned numb.

This one moment of distraction allowed Illumina to get into range. When he barely managed to return his gaze, he saw a red-eyed woman slashing her claws at him. His body was ripped apart into two. He failed to react in time, leaving him severed from the waist. His dantian was left intact, but after losing his lower body, he tried to fly away directly.

But another dark claw ripped apart his head and soul. A Level Four Autarch died just like that.

Illumina absorbed his body into a cauldron and sealed it before storing it inside her spatial ring.

She then turned to look at Aric Stormsong, who plopped onto the ground, looking like he was going to piss himself with his legs spread wide. She could smell the intense fear wrecking him apart, but that also didn't make her understand.

With what gall did he appear here and try to harass and torture the Goldsun Clan when he should be in all right participating in that secret realm that led to the Elemental Dimension?

She wanted to soulscour but didn't know how. Unless she had a personalized technique that was compatible with her Laws, she couldn't learn such a thing. Fortunately, most soulscour techniques were light-attribute or darkness-attributed, so she could learn them sooner or later.

"Don't kill him. You would be marked by the immortal mark or kill mark of their ancestors." King descended by her side and cackled at him.

He was in his human form, extending his hand to clap Aric Stormsong's cheek a few times with derision.

"I remember you. You were there on that bridge when Davis traded many supreme geniuses for some loot. Perhaps we could've traded you again, but this time around, you're really fucked. Who told you to kill those old timers? Soaren is seriously pissed. Once he's done moving his people to the life ring, you're done."

"You dare!?" Aric Stormsong scowled, "My grandfather is a Level Nine Autarch! In fact, he's one step away from the next stage!"

King's expression sank. He waved his hand.

*Paah!~*

A resounding slap echoed, causing Aric Stormsong to spit blood and faint directly.

"Fuck, you're really getting on my nerves. I should slap you to death." King complained, but Aric Stormsong was already knocked out, his jaw twisted plenty to the side.
