MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith
Chapter 1466 - 1466: Myriad Prodigies: Second Round - Ataraxia (3)‘…Status.’
Seeing that the serpent was waiting for them to make the first move before retaliating, Valyr went ahead and signaled to those in his group to stay where they were for the meantime.
Briefly glancing at the two Rank 5 class holders to check if they planned on taking the initiative to fight the serpent before them, the young man eventually focused his senses inward, doing something he hadn’t done during the first time he entered the second round.
Ding!
‘When I was brought down to the start of Rank 3 in my original identity, I felt like half of my strength was sealed then and there,’ thought the young man as the system acquiesced to his command.
‘Yet, in comparison, I don’t feel much of a decrease in my strength at all.’
‘Is it because I’ve yet to ascend to the peak of Rank 4?’ asked Valyr to himself inwardly, only to then shift his attention towards the screen that popped up in his mind.
And there he obtained his answer.

To no surprise, once Valyr laid his eyes on his status screen, he was briefly left at a slight loss for words, especially once he noticed that his stats were still above what they were after his evolution to Rank 3.
Of course, the sight before him made him wonder why his stats were still higher than they were before, though it did not take long for him to understand why.
‘The Statues of Transcendence…’ muttered the young man inwardly, glancing at the serpent for a brief moment before returning his attention inward.
Although it could be said that the evolution of his main class and subclass had also contributed to the current situation, most of it was still due to the four boulders he’d gotten from the Great Veldanyr Labyrinth.
After all, even if one were to say that the increase in stats from the evolution were spread across all levels thus far, it only amounted to around a couple hundred points at most.
On the other hand, the four Statues of Transcendence working together gave him 150 points on each stat, coming to a total of 1,200 points.
‘Then again, my stats being higher than they usually are still doesn’t change the fact we won’t be able to deal much damage to the serpent,’ said the young man to himself as he shifted his gaze back to the serpent.
“[Greater Analysis].”
Ding!

“…Huh.”
Looking through the stats of their opponent for the second round, a slight frown appeared on Valyr’s face as he went over the information he received a couple of times.
Confirming the thought he had in mind, he then began to look at the serpent with a slightly odd expression, especially after he realized that his stats were actually pretty close to the beast they’d be fighting.
‘Yet, with the gap between our levels being over 50, none of us would deal any practical damage to it,’ thought the young man, briefly glancing at the group that had been waiting for his command.
Giving them a slight nod of assurance as a way of saying they’ll move quite soon, the young man continued to look at the serpent for a bit more, plotting their group’s plan of action to make sure they pushed the serpent as much as possible.
‘I may not have anything like [Apex Hunter] or [Slayer of Ascendants] on this identity… which I should really get at least one of them at some point.’
‘However, that doesn’t mean I won’t be able to push the serpent to make use of its full strength with the spells in my arsenal.’
Taking in a deep breath to compose himself, he gave the members of his group one last nod before uttering his first command.
“Vanguards, initiate!”
Whoosh!
With his group having talked their specific positions beforehand, those that were part of the vanguards immediately stepped forward, charging towards the serpent as some of them activated taunting skills in the process.
“Hisss…” Seeing that its opponents were now starting to move, the serpent slightly raised its head in response, its ruby-like eyes keeping an eye on the movements close to it.
“Haaah!”
Closing the gap in a matter of seconds, the vanguard then proceeded to attack the serpent, holding nothing back whatsoever in their first strike.
“Hiss…!!!”
Of course, even though it had been waiting for the opposing side to make the first move, that didn’t mean it would allow their attacks to land on its body in the first place.
Whoosh!
Just as the vanguards were under the illusion the serpent wouldn’t make a move under their attacks, the latter went ahead and broke that notion, hastily distancing itself from the group before condensing mana around its tail.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Then, swinging its tail back and forth, it then shot out a barrage of dark energy bolts at the vanguards, catching many of them off guard.
“Defend!”
Although he’d already barked the order to the vanguards in advance, Valyr noticed that some of them were still stunned by the serpent’s movements.
Not wanting to handicap his group before they even push the serpent to the second stage, the young man proceeded to head towards the vanguards, activating his mana circuit as he cast shields in front of those that had lacking defense.
“[Arcane Codex].”
At the same time, he took the current situation as an opportunity to see if his spells could indeed push the serpent to its higher stages through sheer might.
“Oh, Great Arcane. As your Emissary, grant me the strength of the essence of magic.”
Taking out his staff from his spatial bracelet, a massive sun began to form above the staff’s tip as the young man chanted the accompanying incantation of the spell.
“Under your might and my control, may this spell I cast cast my foes to an unending inferno.”
“[Orb of Apyrhan].”
Fwoosh!
Swinging his staff downward, Valyr went ahead and used Mystic Energy to briefly bind the serpent in place in order to make sure his spell would connect.
However, just as it was about to hit the serpent…
Bang!
A certain pair decided to interrupt his attack.
