Chapter 4305 Entertained
'They want to apologize to you for the disrespect they caused you,' a voice of Prime Kanxin rang out in my mind.
"There was no respect. They didn't know who I was, and even if they knew, it wasn't disrespectful." I replied and turned to the two women.
They looked nervous and scared. Terrified. I wanted to laugh seeing it. These two are the women who asked me for the date. The horned violet-skinned one asked me on the date, while the elf was her friend.
'Then I will ask them not to disturb you,' said Kanxin. 'It's fine; let them come,' I replied, opening the bronze door.
If they don't hear from me, those women will be scared forever, and it will affect their practice.
That would be terrible.
Knock Knock!
They walked inside nervously before climbing the stairs of the chalet and knocking on the door.
Click!
I opened the door and saw their surprised faces. I could have opened it with energy, but I always opened it personally and will not change.
"Miss Luna, Miss Serabell, come in," I invited the two scared women. Seeing me personally open the door, they seemed even more terrified.
The invitation and the smile on my face seemed to ease them out of their fear as they followed behind after some hesitation.
I sat down, and they remained standing. I motioned them to sit. They nodded and sat down shakingly.
"We have come to apologize to you, Prime Arys. We had no intention of causing you any disrespect. It had happened unknowingly,"
"If we knew of your station, we wouldn't have behaved as we did," apologized the violet-skinned girl. It surprised me a little. I thought it would be Elf who would be apologizing. She is the talkative one of the duos.
"There was nothing for you to apologize," I replied.
"We do. You are Prime; you are entitled to respect," said the elf, but you didn't know I was a Prime when you came to talk to me," I replied with a smile.
She opened her mouth to reply but closed it a moment later and nodded.
"I was thinking of having tea. Are you two interested?" I asked as we were sitting in silence.
"We don't want to trouble you, Prime," said the violet-skinned girl who had asked about the date.
"It's no trouble," I replied, and content flew out of me.
A moment later, the fire came to life, and tea preparations began. I wanted to do it myself, but I couldn't take the risk.
Every breathing moment, I am here. I need to be careful; I cannot do something that will connect me to Michael Zaar concretely.
I could live in some seclusion, but that would not provide me the benefits of civilization.
I need to be in civilization. The time in a cavern had proved that a long seclusion isn't wise.
That is why I have returned. I have been going out daily, hiding my power, sitting in a random bar or tavern, or exploring the city.
The city is massive, and I haven't explored it fully. So, I am doing it, and it's making me feel good. I am very productive and making rapid progress.
"If you don't mind me asking. Are you new to our organization, Prime Arys?" asked Luna, building courage.
"Yes," I replied.
"Have you joined our organization?" asked Serabell. I smiled. "No, and I have no interest in joining Taurus or any organization," I replied.
I repeatedly told the Taurus's higher-ups, especially after I returned. Some of them made an offer, but my answer was always direct.
"So, tell me about yourselves? Have you been a member of Taurus from the beginning or joined later?" I asked. There was a moment of hesitation there.
"I was born into it; my parents are members of the organization," replied Serabell.
"I started as independent and joined after reaching Prime III," replied Luna. It surprised me. I thought she would have been the one who had been born in the organization, given her shy nature.
I talked to them as I brewed the tea. They were easing a little into the conversation.
However, both of them are still very careful. They understand the power gap between us, which is why I like to go to random places where I can be anybody.
People didn't have to tiptoe and think about every word before speaking.
I like these two and wish they were more at ease, but I understand their cautiousness. I would have been more cautious if I had been in their place.
"It's done," I said, pouring the tea into the three cups. One came toward me, while the two went toward them.
I was planning on a different tear, the one that provided me with a small benefit, but I chose this one for them. It is Prime grade and has good taste, but that is all.
At least for me.
For them, the effects would be far too great. It would help them tremendously.
"It's the best tea I've ever drunk," praised Serabell as she took a sip. I am glad you liked it, Miss Serabell," I replied with a smile.
I didn't talk; I let them enjoy the tea in silence while I watched its energies spread into their bodies.
They now feel less than 1% of the tea's effects. They will feel the rest after they sleep. The tea will give them a transformational boost.
Soon, they finished the tea.
"Thank you for the tea and your time, Prime Arys," said Luna. Think nothing of it; I was feeling a little bored. You two made the day less boring," I replied.
"So, you wouldn't mind. If we come to meet you again," asked Serabell. Luna turned and glared at her friend.
I didn't intend to meet them again, but I enjoyed their company and liked the girl's guts.
"Sure," I replied a moment later, making a big smile bloomed across the girl's face.
