Chapter 5958 No Food to Feed

The domain lord and the four dragon ancestors stared at the Seven Treasure Colored Glass Tree in amazement. Drawn by its aura, they arrived to see it stretching across half the sky. Beneath its radiance, the Dragon Domain’s disciples were trapped in a cycle of torment—screaming like they had awoken from nightmares, only to grit their teeth, shut their eyes, and dive back in. Moments later, they screamed again, as if they had gone nuts.

Each time they awoke, they roared with fury, their faces contorted with determination. Then, without hesitation, they returned to face the nightmare.

“Their Sovereign sprout flames…” one of the elders murmured.

At first, they couldn’t make sense of the madness. But soon, they noticed something shocking—their disciples’ Sovereign sprout flames weren’t solidifying, shocking the elders.

“They aren’t just growing solid—they’re circulating!” gasped one of the dragon ancestors.

“This tree of Long Chen’s must be a priceless treasure. It possesses such a heaven-defying ability. He really just took it out just like that?” wondered another dragon ancestor.

Was Long Chen not afraid of the dragon race seizing this priceless treasure?

“We didn’t treat them as outsiders, so he doesn’t treat us as outsiders either,” the domain lord replied with a warm smile.

“Domain lord, just what are they doing? What’s going on?” asked the scarlet dragon ancestor.

Shaking his head, the domain lord said, “I can’t determine the true origin of that divine tree, nor do I know what exactly they’re experiencing. But from what we can see, Long Chen is helping them cultivate.”

The scarlet dragon ancestor rolled his eyes. Yes, thank you for the obvious. I have eyes too!

“Hehe, with Long Chen’s help, our Dragon Domain’s juniors are growing rapidly. Once they become Human Emperors… hmph, let’s see if anyone dares to look down on us again!” one of the dragon ancestors laughed.

“That’s right! The other Dragon Domains always looked down on us, calling us the weakest. They could inject their dragon qi into the nine heavens and absorb karmic luck directly. Meanwhile, we could only open a small path to scrape together some karmic luck. Of course their dragon qi ended up stronger than ours. But we can’t move. We’re trapped here. Damn those arrogant bastards… they’re lucky I didn’t force them to swap places with us!” grumbled another dragon ancestor.

“Brothers, it’s been hard on you,” the scarlet dragon ancestor said, patting his shoulder.

That particular dragon ancestor had always been known for his calm temper. But after returning from asking for aid long ago, he came back with a frighteningly dark expression. None of them had dared question him then, but now, they realized just how deeply he must have been wounded by the experience.

“The dragon race is one family, and our karmic luck doesn’t just belong to one branch. It wouldn’t have cost them anything to share,” he said bitterly.

“Forget it. Just look at this,” said another dragon ancestor. “We used to expect that maybe one in twenty or thirty quasi-Sovereign sprouts could become a true Sovereign sprout. Then, the Sovereign qi of the failures would return to the dragon fortune divine pool. But now, thanks to Long Chen’s heaven-defying methods, if all of them succeed… we won’t have enough dragon fortune to go around. The other Dragon Domains have more than they need, but there’s no way they’ll share any of it with us. Are we supposed to seize it by force?”

The domain lord sighed. “That’s exactly the problem I’ve been thinking about. Once they become Human Emperors, we won’t have enough dragon fortune to support their growth. It’ll be like raising a nursery full of babies with no milk. They won’t be able to grow. After all, we’re not the human race—we can’t simply make do with alternatives.”

The dragon race had unique cultivation methods, and the energy reserves they had prepared were only enough for a limited number of Sovereign sprouts. Long Chen’s unexpected intervention had dramatically altered their fate, which was a nice surprise but also an issue.

They were already known as a poor Dragon Domain. Now, with twenty or thirty times more children to feed, how could they possibly support them?

“Then what do we do? It won’t be long before their tribulation comes. We can’t hold them back!” demanded the scarlet dragon ancestor.

“What about the thing we prepared for Long Chen…?” asked one of the ancestors cautiously.

“No!”

The domain lord directly rejected that proposal, leaving no room for discussion.

In truth, the other dragon ancestors were thinking of the same thing. That item, if not given to Long Chen, could help alleviate their current crisis.

But the domain lord’s refusal was final. They had already promised it to Long Chen. Taking it back now would be an insult to their honor.

“A path will reveal itself. When the time comes, we’ll know what to do,” the domain lord said quietly before vanishing.

The dragon ancestors exchanged glances. Then, casting one last look at the disciples beneath the divine tree, they sighed and departed.

The Dragon Domain’s disciples were enduring a trial of death—dying over and over, gradually growing fearless… But they also got angrier by the second.

After conquering the fear in their hearts, they could fight freely within the Seven Treasure Space. But they were still being slaughtered. Enemies filled every corner, and they were like prey, their dragon pride trampled without mercy.

Only then did they start to consider working together. Perhaps if they united, they could find a way to survive in this bloody battlefield.

As they found brief moments to breathe, they started to understand their surroundings. Once they grasped the structure of the space, they slowly devised ways to fight back.

The Dragon Domain’s disciples gradually found the trick. Rather than fighting for themselves, they started to work together. They had to rely on each other to survive longer in this space.

Gradually, they started to turn the tide. No longer dying in confusion, they now died knowing why and how to avoid it next time.

With each passing moment, their auras transformed. The Seven Treasure Space was like a merciless hammer, forging their bodies, spirits, and wills into stronger forms.

The next day, they had new companions—the Dragonblood warriors had arrived.

When the disciples saw a dozen Dragonblood warriors appear, they erupted in excitement. Fighting beside them was a great honor.

However, the Dragonblood warriors simply swept through the endless tide of enemies in their way and vanished down that bloody path.

The Dragon Domain’s disciples nearly coughed up blood at the sight. The enemies who had slaughtered them so effortlessly were annihilated by the Dragonblood warriors like ants.

They had believed that, after thousands of deaths, they were finally catching up to the Dragonblood warriors. But the gap was still immeasurable.

The Dragonblood warriors flew by, going straight to the seventh and final level of the Seven Treasure Space.

“Dragonblood Cross Slash!”

The leader of the group roared and swung his sword. Then, a massive glowing cross formed in the air.

It hung motionless for a beat. Then, the other Dragonblood warriors swung their swords in unison, their crosses merging into the leader’s.

BOOM!

The giant cross slammed into a lone figure—Sovereign Lord Lian Sanqiang.

“Old fogey, try out our new technique!” the Dragonblood warriors shouted in unison.

Their new Dragonblood Cross Slash had landed, and the battlefield trembled.
