That particular Captain Hei was not given any chance the moment he announced his name. One would thought that he would disappear in a blink of an eye the moment he dashed but he was slowly and surely moving towards Jin with the intention to kill.
It was only at the instant when Jin had decided to defend himself from the first attack that Captain Hei suddenly disappeared and emerged right at the top of him with his ’Dao’ blade moving right above Jin’s head, waiting to slice him into two.
However, Jin was able to react in time to parry the blade with his Blood Mana Katana, only to realise that the amount of strength that he inserted was nothing short of extraordinary. The entirety of the bamboo forest shook as if an earthquake had happened and Jin was pushed down into the ground causing crevices and the formation of the soil to break apart, spreading dust all around the area.
"Heh. Looks like you are not just talk after all. Mister of Many Titles." Captain Hei said as he swirled his body quickly to unleash another devastating slash only to find that Jin had disappeared from his current location. Only at that moment did Guard Captain Hei realised that Jin’s leg was coming from the side, kicking him at an anti counterclockwise movement, to be against his momentum.
While it hurt a little, Captain Hei was able to recover from the attack as he anticipated the next assault from Jin. It was then everyone in the vicinity was a little shocked by the change of development. The enemy that they were up against was using a chi presence that portrayed a huge Panda Silhouette coming down towards Captain Hei.
This incited the latter to also bring out his ’spirit’ animal, a huge Panda Silhouette with a scar at the side of its eye just to go against Jin. It did not need much brainpower to fully understand that this would have a huge impact, possibly destroying the Bamboo Forest around them.
Those bamboo trees closest to the spiritual clash were uprooted instantly as the two forces cancelled each other. The rest of the Pandarian audience had instinctively searched for more cover or put themselves a distance away from the fight to ensure that they were caught in between the both of them.
"Where did you learn this kind of technique!" Captain Hei shouted with anger. "We do not teach any humans our spiritual techniques at all, much less of this kind of scale!" Captain Hei knew that this was not any imitation but the real deal.
"Why, don’t you defeat me first if you really want to know the reason how I can do this?" Jin did not go full power, probably the equivalent of Grade 18 worth of power and Captain Hei was able to dissipate the spiritual power of his slash easily.
This showed that Captain Hei was not a pushover unlike the Demons that they had fought and the System somehow put in somewhere around Rank Ex-D or Rank Ex-C.But if the System were to give merely a gauge of his powers meant that he could be possibly stronger than Jin. The only thing that the King Of Ress could get out of this alive was to utilise every single trick in his book or else there would be no way he would be walking into the village and fighting the Duel of Honour.
At the same time, he could actually power up easily mainly because of the achievements that Jin had gotten in the past few months. Even with the mandatory increase in attributes due to the achievements he had gotten, he had also levelled up significantly and there were a ton of stat points which he did not use yet. He was thinking of throwing everything into luck ever since he learned there was such a stat.
This was because of all of the shit he went through and how fate managed to throw him a curveball every time Jin felt that he was finally able to grasp the situation. But right now, it seemed like if he could only barely defeat Hei, the Village Representative would definitely be a force to reckon with.
Yet at the same time, he was elated. There were so many skills and techniques which he wished to try when he was with his original system but there was a lack of opportunities to use them mainly because of the fact that he had the System with him and with that, came lots of minions and minion power to play with. There was no need for him to go all out.
Even if he did go all out, like the times he was in Synthesis World, his original powers were somehow locked. But now, it was different. He was a Grade 20-4 if he were to follow the EX Rank way of naming convention. Jin honestly wanted to try the powers of Grade 20-4 (or it should be something akin to Grade 20-4 Peak because of the achievement attributes.)
Thus, he smiled at Captain Hei as he poured his chi and only solely his chi that he still had the magic portion to surprise Hei later if needed. The Panda silhouettes emerged out from his back, glowing with bustling pride as they flew around him a little before merging into the Blood Mana Katana that he was holding onto.
"Let’s go," Jin whispered and he literally blinked out of existence only to appear 20 centimetres before Captain Hei, unleashing an extremely large Panda Paw silhouette that accompanied the slash. Captain Hei had no choice but to block it not with his Dao blade but with his shoulder.
At that point, the Scarred Panda silhouette emerged once more, showing its shoulders and charging against the silhouette that attempted to slash through Captain Hei. If it was any indicated, it felt as if two Pandas were duelling against each other in their huge spiritual forms while the humans were merely their enablers of the duel.
That was where Captain Hei felt that there was enough show and tell, believing it was time to get answers from this mysterious guy who appeared from nowhere and intruding their village with a secret technique of theirs. The Scarred Panda finally materialised a Dao Blade and used it against Jin’s Panda.
