Chapter 2142: The Dashavatara (Matsya, Buddha) -Part 10

Now learning about how the enemy was able to block out interdimensional travel and also summoning to some extent, the Dashavatara had to fight with what they possessed and what remaining forces were coming in.

It was a contingency plan set up by Buddha, the Enlightened One where he had looked through the plans and made sure that they were safe and sound despite the type of superiority that had been portrayed by the rest of the Dashavatara. As weird as it sounds, there were multiple Buddhas that were residing within the Celestial Plane.

Because of how various humans perceived the conception of Buddha and how an alternate version of him in a multiverse had achieved Nirvana and thus the founding of a brand new religion. In response, the Celestial plane had universally recognised Siddhartha Buddha and Gautama Buddha as two separate entities even though they were supposedly the same person.

This was one of the few odd cases where the Celestial Planes accepted the existence of two such individuals although, in most situations, the alternate versions of the Celestial Being would live a normal life of his own. It was only because of how Gautama Buddha had achieved eternal peace in his own version of the universe that he became an entity worthy of praise.

Unfortunately, not all who resided in the Celestial Plane had the same concept as him.

Just as the Demons might not necessarily be evil in nature, so are the Celestials who were not a forgiving bunch as a whole. The only problem is that humans in various worlds had judged each of them differently, giving the Demons and Celestials the meaning of black and white when everyone knows that every single race in existence was grey.

The victor writes the story and everything else becomes written history.

It just so happened that Demons did not usually like to help people because it was not in their nature to do so. Pride, Greed, Lust and the other so called sins were a way of life for them and vice versa for the Celestials who believed their virtues were equally important as a way to live.

It just so happened that humans were shaped closer towards the Celestials that the homo sapiens believed they were an offspring of them, not knowing that there were others who worshipped the demons just because of how they were shaped as well.

Siddhartha Buddha happened to be a slight variation of the Gautama Buddha as Lord Vishnu was a Celestial who worked towards maintaining the preservation of life in various worlds. Therefore, conflict was inevitable and Siddhartha Buddha despite his peaceful disposition would still use violence as a means of resolving problems if there was a practical need for it.

Just as how there were battle monks during the Sengoku Warring Period in Japan.

With the contingency plans set up by Siddhartha Buddha, armies owned by the Dashavatara would continue to enter regardless of the lack of commands. They know that there might be instances where the Celestials would be locked in a battle where communication could be cut off.

However, despite the compliance to enter into Atopia and fight against Ress's troops, the reserve armies of the Dashavatara were a little concerned.

This was because it had been a long time since the Dashavatara had been stuck in such a situation where communications were cut off and reserve armies were not returning. Some of the leaders shrugged it off as there were times when the Dashavatara did not reply back because they also wanted to share the victory with the reserve armies.

After all, such armies had worked hard to ensure that they could respond to attacks if needed even though they were not the main offensive force that the Dashavatara had commanded.

That was why quite a number of leaders did not bother to be alarmed… until it was their turn to enter the portal into Atopia. For the first time when they entered, they were greeted with bombardments of varying scale.

Some did not disperse in time, causing death to happen since the System Science Department had already calculated the possible positions of arrival due to the interdimensional block that had been imposed by the System.

Most were able to react properly but never in their lives saw such a hectic battlefield. The skies were darkened with dogfights and magic bullets running astray as the fishmen fought desperately to maintain the attrition of the battlefield. All of them do not have the experience the Rifle Mages had because they were too used to fights won with overwhelming might and quantity.

That was not to say that it was not working since the Rifle Mages could be fatigued as well. Matsya could notice the rotation of Rifle Mages after every hour and wished to take advantage of it but just as he was about to plan his retaliation, the Rifle Mages had been substituted earlier to ensure that such retaliation was not possible.

And this was not done due to reading the minds of the Celestials or there was any mole within the Dashavatara. This was completed with predictive analytics of the System, something that the Dashavatara do not possess because it was the ingenuity of the humans. The System was able to predict based on the movement the fishmen were taking in general and thus took the risk to call in for a quick swap.

Obviously, this was infuriated Matsya who believed that there was someone who had been reading his mind and called out to Buddha and Krishna to find the person.

After all, if a Celestial Trickster and a Celestial Monk specialised in psychic powers could not find this… person, the other battleplans that Matsya had created might be leaked out. Hence, the two Avatars of Vishnu was sent to a wild goose chase while they could helped out in the battle on the ground in Ress' territory.

Because, if the Avatars and their armies could destroy the defenders on the ground, Ress would not be able to provide support for the air fights.
