After what happened with Justicio, Aquarina went to apologize to him about it and told the girls to not get angry with him, and that was her fault for not telling him the girls were there. Ultimately, things resolved fine, and the entire group sat down to eat breakfast together. The creampuffs were already done, but everyone started eating some of the fish first. Which looked delicious and smelled even better.

There were all kinds of fish, from small ones that were skewered and stacked, to larger salmon-like fish with delicious orange and red colored meat, which remained of that color even after being cooked. There were also some species of sharks from the sea water oasis, their meat was strangely sweet and had a certain flavor that differentiated it from the rest.

The meat was deliciously smoked and grilled to perfection, the Chief Aguarapida had added several sweet and citric sauces to the fish, giving them an even more delicious flavor. And once they were done eating a lot of fish, they moved to the creampuff, everyone had three for themselves.

“So these are the famous cream puffs, huh?” Silvia wondered. “They look pretty!”

“Smells yummy!” Said Agua. “Are they cream filled?”

“Yeah they are,” said Aquarina. “The cream is made using milk and eggs… and sugar I think. Also vanilla extract!”

“Oh yeah?” Wondered Silvia. “Okay let’s give it a go then! Can’t wait- Nom! Nom! Nom!”

Silvia took three big bites out of the hand-sized creampuff, her mouth was filled with fresh, flaky dough with a sweet honey flavor, that accompanied with the crunchy, fried exterior, and also the delicious, heavenly cream, sweet, smooth, and cold.

Agua and Justicio went through the same experience, and hell, even Agua’s mother was also shocked by these new flavors from across the desert and beyond!

“S-So this is the food humans eat?!” Silvia asked. “No way, it’s delicious! Nom, nom, nom!”

She ended finishing her creampuff in time record, moving to the second immediately. Justicio was without words, only eating the creampuff while making a weird expression of pleasure.

“T-This is good… What the hell? No way… Wow… How did I never eat this before?!”

He started almost beginning to cry due to the flavors, it was way too much for him.

He gulped down the whole thing after a few bites, feeling blessed, even with some crumbs on his mouth.

“It was good…” He muttered. “How were humans able to creature such sublime flavor?!”

“C-Calm down, I like them too but you’re overexaggerating now…” Said Aquarina, giggling a bit. “And well…”

Like that, they spent a bit of the morning talking about pastries and sweets, and the nightmare Aquarina had last night was quickly forgotten by her as she talked with her friends and spent a nice and relaxing morning eating everything she liked.

While washing the dishes with her parents while her friends and the chief prepared for the Physique Evolution Ritual, Aquarina used this opportunity to ask her parents about what the Goliath and the Ultimus Clans were all about.

“You’re still interested?” wondered Nepheline. “Well, it’s not that complicated. But they’re the strongest clans of demons in the Demon Continent.”

“Yeah,” Shade nodded.

“T-The strongest? But how is that decided?” Aquarina wondered. “I know each demon are born with innate abilities or something but all of them can eventually grow through cultivation, right?”

“Technically, but there’s something deeper to that,” explained Nepheline.

“There have been certain Clans of Demons born with even more power and abilities than other clans,” explained Shade. “The Goliath Demons are gifted with very tall, muscular bodies. They’re also humanoid and very intelligent. Their intelligence borders on the level of geniuses, although they mostly apply it towards battle.”

“As we told you, they tend to have gray skin and its various tones,” Nepheline said. “From what we’ve heard, those with the grayest skin bordering on charcoal black, tend to have the strongest ability and talent. It seems their skin darkens as they grow.”

“That’s a weird feature…” Said Aquarina. “Huh, how do they look like? Have you met them? Are they mean or nice?”

“We wouldn’t know that well, the only ones we’ve met have been just a few,” Nepheline explained.

“But the one we fought that was one of them was the Demon King we battled; he was a Pure-Blooded Goliath Demon with dark gray skin. He had three pairs of spiraling black horns, and long white hair and beard,” explained Shade. “He looked visibly old.”

“S-So the Demon King was a Goliath Demon…” Aquarina nodded. “What’s their special ability?”

“They’re born as geniuses of battle,” explained Shade. “From a year of age they begin picking up fights and weapons, or so we’ve been told. They’re also incredibly strong physically. Born from the get-go with Tier 5 Physiques.”

“At birth?!” Aquarina gasped. “Woah, they’re real monsters!”

“Yeah… there’s rumors though, of a more monstrous demon clan than even the Goliath that might be even mightier,” explained Nepheline. “But we have yet to battle or meet one of them. The Goliaths call them “their greatest foe” but are rare and elusive beings that live at the other end of the continent, which is even more filled with miasma and even harsher than the area we explored. That are is often referred as the Dark Side of the Demon Continent, and is currently unexplored, it is roughly seventy percent of the continent, and it is said that’s where the Dragon King and his children live and are raised at…”

“So there’s even more terrifying things over there, noted…” Aquarina muttered. “But if there’s something even stronger even the Goliath fear… I am kind of curious how strong those guys can get. Do they have names?”

“We don’t know, but they call them the Scaled Ones,” said Shade. “They are not dragons, nor related with them. but they’re said to be larger, and even burlier than Goliaths, and covered on incredibly hard scales, impenetrable using any weapon, even magical or divine weapons barely can harm them.”

“I-If they’re so strong why don’t they take over the world?!” Aquarina gasped.

“It’s just that though, we don’t know if they’re even real,” Nepheline shrugged.

“But maybe one day you’ll met them,” Shade said.

“Huh…”

Aquarina recalled her memories, there was one of the servants of the young purple-haired demon king that was enormous and covered with scales…

“It can’t be coincidence, right?”
