Senior Sister, Shut Up!
Chapter 68: Make Senior Sister the Mother of His ChildAt 2:30 p.m., Accounting Class 2 vs Financial Management Class 3 and 4.
The first-year basketball tournament was not as strict as professional competitions.
Considering everyone’s physical fitness, the four-quarter game was shortened to three quarters, and each quarter was ten minutes.
There was a five-minute break between quarters, making the total game time around forty minutes.
However, with timeouts, out-of-bounds, fouls, and so on, a game usually took fifty minutes to an hour.
But none of this concerned Jiang Miao.
Once on the court, his only concern was whether the opponent could eliminate his team.
Unfortunately, as soon as the game began, the situation was basically one-sided.
Although the opponents had some decent players, they were clearly not fully accustomed to playing a full-court basketball game.
Under Brother Monkey’s fast-paced offensive, Jiang Miao’s team quickly scored more than ten points in the first three minutes.By the time the opponents regained their composure, the point gap had already widened to over ten points.
Jiang Miao sighed, recognizing the reality of the situation, and reluctantly started cooperating with passing and offense.
There was no way he could deliberately go easy, so he just played casually and took a few random shots here and there.
During high school, Jiang Miao had not exercised much, so his stamina had decreased significantly.
If he were to keep running back and forth like Brother Monkey, he’d likely collapse after one ten-minute quarter.
However, slackers always had their own methods.
It was easy on defense, without any need to run around.
On offense, he dribbled the ball past half-court and quickly passed it to Brother Monkey, who was already in the frontcourt.
If they scored, Jiang Miao would leisurely jog back to prepare for defense.
If they didn’t score but still had possession of the ball, he would continue running towards the frontcourt and occasionally catch the ball and take a shot.
Surprisingly, although Jiang Miao’s overall basketball skills weren’t strong, he especially liked bank shots, and his accuracy was impressive.
Especially when he was shooting at the 45-degree angles on either side, he felt most comfortable taking these shots.
Even for three-pointers from those angles, he had about a 25% success rate.
By the time the third quarter started, the point difference had already grown to over 30.
Brother Monkey decided to ease up, giving his teammates more opportunities to play.
This gave Jiang Miao quite a few chances, and he scored several three-pointers, eliciting exciting gasps from some girls in the audience.
Unfortunately, when Su Huaizhou arrived at the basketball court, panting from the rush, she only saw Jiang Miao casually taking a shot as the game was nearing its end.
And it didn’t even go in.
Then the referee blew the whistle, signaling the end of the game.
Accountant Class 2 won!
Xun Liang and Brother Monkey cheered in celebration, while Jiang Miao sighed inwardly, looking defeated.
With this victory, they had progressed from the top 16 to the top 8 last week and now from the top 8 to the top 4 today. The semifinals would be on Thursday.
I’m so tired…
What happened to being eliminated in the first round?
“Junior Brother, you guys were too fast.” Su Huaizhou walked onto the court with a helpless expression under the blazing sun. She arrived in front of Jiang Miao and tilted her head with a smile. “But it’s good that you won. Congratulations.”
“Senior Sister, I’m not happy at all…” Jiang Miao replied wearily while wiping the sweat on his forehead.
“But I’m happy.” Su Huaizhou smiled. “I’ve checked your schedule, and you have another game on Thursday afternoon. I’ve already rescheduled the mock debate to Thursday evening, so I’ll be there to cheer you on~”
“Ahem…” Jiang Miao felt a little nervous. If Senior Sister shouted, “Go, Jiang Miao!” from the audience, his legs would probably immediately go weak. “Senior Sister, coming to watch is enough. No need for cheering.”
Su Huaizhou poked his chest in dissatisfaction. “Don’t forget. I’m your girlfriend now.”
Jiang Miao’s heart skipped a beat, but he still said, “It’s just pretend.”
“You’re so boring. You’re not getting into the role at all.” Su Huaizhou shook her head, slightly disappointed. She took out a tissue from her bag and asked teasingly, “Do you want me to wipe your sweat for you?”
“No!” Jiang Miao quickly took the tissue and wiped the sweat off his face himself.
Xun Liang and the others were nearby. If they saw Senior Sister wiping his face…
Wait a minute. Even if they see, so what?
Previously, because he and Senior Sister were purely gathering material, out of consideration for her feelings, Jiang Miao had been careful to keep their relationship under wraps.
But it was different now.
He intended to develop real feelings with Senior Sister over time, so he didn’t mind being seen by others.
In that case, why should he keep hiding it?
Wouldn’t it be better to take this opportunity to become closer to Senior Sister?
But since he had already declined, he’d have to find another opportunity later.
Xun Liang came over to say hello and gave Jiang Miao a knowing look as he glanced between him and Senior Sister. Then he left with his girlfriend, who had come to support him.
Jiang Miao, drenched in sweat, only wanted to return to his dorm room to take a shower.
“I’m free now too, so let’s go back together,” Su Huaizhou suggested. Then she quietly added, “Do you want to get material?”
“Uhh…” Jiang Miao pondered for a moment. But as soon as they walked out of the basketball court, he couldn’t wait to reach out to hold her hand.
The long-awaited and familiar electric sensation flowed through their bodies again.
“The storyline these past two days has been really interesting,” Su Huaizhou said, trying her best to suppress her embarrassment by changing the topic. “The two mothers actually followed their kids on their date.”
Jiang Miao liked receiving praise from readers, especially when it came from female readers and even more so when it came from Senior Sister.
Having readers be amazed and compliment the plot was extremely encouraging for any author.
“Are you going to write the scene today about them pretending to accidentally expose their relationship and film their moms’ reaction?” Su Huaizhou asked curiously. “I’m really looking forward to it! It sounds so interesting~
“Probably.” Jiang Miao roughly estimated. “I should be able to write about the male lead’s mom’s reaction today and the female lead’s mom’s in the next couple of days.”
“When will they kiss?” Su Huaizhou continued asking. “They’ve already slept together but still haven’t kissed yet. That’s too much.”
“The outline was planned in advance…” Jiang Miao replied helplessly. “The male lead’s birthday is on July 7th, and the kiss is arranged to happen in this part of the story.”
“Oh, so it’s coming up soon?”
“Yeah… It should happen before the novel goes premium.”
“Then keep up the good work! Remember to release extra when your story goes premium!”
“… I’ll try my best.”
“Hmm?”
“At least 4,500 words.”
“Okay.” Su Huaizhou didn’t push him too hard. She playfully swung their joined hands back and forth a few times. “If you need material, remember you can always come and find me at any time, as long as it’s not during class.”
“Okay. Thank you, Senior Sister.”
This time, Jiang Miao didn’t decline and tightened his grip on her hand.
“Speaking of which….” Now that he had made up his mind, he took the initiative to find a topic. “How did the debate team do today?”
“It went okay. It’s just that without your counterarguments, we’ll have to push some of the corresponding preparations to the mock debate on Thursday.”
“What’s the debate topic this time?” Jiang Miao couldn’t remember.
“If there were a button that could instantly give a child a perfect life, would you press it?” Su Huaizhou said while casually brushing her hair. “It’s an interesting hypothetical scenario.”
Jiang Miao raised an eyebrow, recalling. “Are we on the affirmative side?”
“Yeah.” Su Huaizhou nodded. “Got any ideas? Isn’t it interesting?”
“I don’t have a child.” Jiang Miao quickly shook his head to prevent himself from being roped into doing hard labor for the opposition side again.
“Then, what are you thinking?” Su Huaizhou asked, feigning suspicion. “Although I’m willing to help you get material, having a child isn’t within the scope.”
Jiang Miao: “…”
It was really difficult for him to respond to this.
After all, he was indeed thinking about making Senior Sister the mother of his child.
He felt a bit guilty…
