Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1392: True Immortal of the Spirit Tip World

The words that appeared on the surface of the Crimson Soul Tablet looked pretty mottled, and they looked like they would disappear the next second.

No matter how hard Shang Xia tried to examine the words on them, he was unable to make out what they were trying to say. The further he got from the Star Curtain, the weaker the energy became. In the end, the words dimmed and he failed to see anything else recorded on it.

At the end of the day, Shang Xia felt that his cultivation was still lacking. If he was at the level of Extreme Harmonization, he felt that he would be able to see the words that described his martial intent.

Before he could regret even further, a stream of energy that was even purer than when the Crimson Soul Tablet absorbed the world origin from the Essence Xing World poured into his body.

Shang Xia didn’t let down his guard as he immediately circulated his Six Harmony Flawless Rod Technique using his original qi, only taking in a little from the tablet at a time. After ensuring there was no trace of the mysterious energy did he absorb them all into his dantian to use them to cultivate.

The only thing that was a pity was the short time they were in contact with the Star Curtain. Even though the Crimson Soul Tablet absorbed as much energy as it could, there was a limit to how much it could do in a short span. The amount of energy the tablet returned to Shang Xia after purification wasn’t too much.

Of course, it was still enough to give Shang Xia a considerable boost to his cultivation. It could be considered a pretty good experience.

If Shang Xia found it to be a good experience, it would be a godly blessing for the rest of the members of the Tongyou Institution.

When the Spirit Ark finally returned to its original course, Yan Ming acted really prudently. The most dangerous part of the journey was over and she was more than capable of charting another path to the Spirit Tip World, but she didn’t do so. She chose to follow the original plan like what Yuan Qiuyuan, Xin Lu, and herself came up with back in the Tongyou Institution.

Returning to the bridge, Shang Xia was shocked.

He was very familiar with the aura of everyone on the Spirit Ark, but in the time he took to examine his condition and the Crimson Soul Tablet, at least a quarter of those on board seemed to have transformed their aura.

Some of them were unable to grow stronger in the short term because they lacked Origin Dippers or Extermination Origins. Otherwise, there would only be more of them.

Nodding in admiration while staring at Song Zhen who was controlling the ship, Shang Xia walked over to Yan Ming to ask, “What’s the matter? Did you not prepare an Origin Dipper for yourself? You should be ready to refine your next fate dipper now.”

Yan Ming stared at him before looking back at the Star Chart. “It’s just a matter of time before I refine it. I can do it after we leave the chaotic streams of space.”

Shang Xia nodded again before asking another question, “How far out do you think we are?”

“We shouldn’t be too far away. The Spirit Ark isn’t small and as you said, the Spirit Tip World is most likely in the Essence Du Heavenly Field. It’s not weak and they most definitely have a defense system in place. We might be discovered by their high-level True Immortals the moment we emerge from the streams of chaotic space.” Yan Ming explained.

“Relax. As long as we don’t run into a Martial Emptiness Realm Sage or an expert at the grand competition stage of the Martial Void Realm, I can deal with anyone else.” Shang Xia laughed.

Several more days passed quickly and the impact of the chaotic streams on the ark grew weaker. Everything pointed to the fact that they were quickly closing in on the Spirit Tip World.

Because the danger they would face grew smaller and smaller with their approach, the experts on board started to enter a state of cultivation to prepare for whatever might come next. Up till that point, at least 5 cultivators managed to improve their cultivation, and Yan Ming was one of them. After ensuring the Spirit Ark was traveling on course, she decided to return to her cabin to refine her fourth fate dipper.

The members of the Tongyou Institution who boarded the Spirit Ark were members who were nurtured by the faction. All of them predicted that they would run into huge opportunities along the way and brought resources they would need with them. They might be taking a huge risk along with it, but no risk no reward.

Before they even completed half their journey, they were already blessed with a chance to greatly increase their cultivation!

Compared to the excitement felt by the rest, Shang Xia and Song Zhen maintained their cool.

Yan Ming returned to the bridge to ensure that they were still on course and after making some small adjustments, she felt that if they were lucky, they might actually be able to emerge from the chaotic streams without alerting the Spirit Tip World. ȑἈ𐌽ŏ฿Ëš

Even if they were down on their luck and were discovered, the Spirit Ark would be able to return to the streams of chaotic space to run immediately, preventing them from being surrounded on all sides.

As for Song Zhen… He hoped that Shang Xia would be able to give him a Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman before they approached. The talisman would not only greatly assist their mission, it could also ensure their safety with its many functions.

It was too bad Shang Xia didn’t really care about his request. The reason was simple. He only had 2 of them left, and he only managed to craft 2 of them during their journey.

Without the Talisman Formation deployed on the Spirit Ark, the effects of the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman wouldn’t be able to last for too long. Shang Xia felt that the talismans would be more effective in his hands.

Helpless, Song Zhen could only hope that the Spirit Tip World failed to detect their presence. However… His hopes were about to be dashed.

After emerging from the chaotic streams, they hovered around its border for a day or so and were discovered by the members of the Spirit Tip World. Star Ships would appear from time to time, but because the Spirit Ark was tens of times larger than an ordinary patrol ship from the Spirit Tip World, none of them dared to go close. However, they hovered at the side and didn’t leave.

Shang Xia looked at Song Zhen and laughed, “Looks like the experts of the Spirit Tip World are about to appear soon.”

“Of course. The Spirit Tip World reacted very quickly and it shows how strong their control over their region of space is. It’s no wonder they can resist the invasion of an Essence World. Let’s hope that they don’t make things difficult for us.” Song Zhen responded.

Shang Xia looked unusually relaxed and he replied, “You’re right. But because they can resist the invasion of the Essence Du World, they won’t try to make things difficult for us.”

After he spoke, Shang Xia disappeared.

Song Zhen was stuck deep in contemplation as he thought about what Shang Xia said.

As he was thinking, Shang Xia reappeared hundreds of miles away from the Spirit Ark and looked into the distance only to be met with complete silence. He eventually muttered, “Since you’re already here, why don’t you show yourself?”

He still didn’t receive a response.

Unperturbed, Shang Xia maintained the smile on his face and didn’t say anything.

A moment later, an awkward chuckle rang in his ears. “Ahem… I wonder where you came from… Why would you appear in the vicinity of our Spirit Tip World?”

After he spoke, a figure that had a large forehead appeared in the void. From his aura, Shang Xia could tell that he was a fourth tier True Immortal.

Chuckling softly, Shang Xia cupped his fists at the person who arrived. “I come from the Spirit Luxuriant World. I have no ill intentions and only wish to pass through this region of space. We will leave in a few days and we will not trouble your world.”

“Spirit Luxuriant World?” The expert with the large forehead gasped. It was obviously the first time he had heard of them. However, he suddenly turned serious and spoke with a little more aggression. “You definitely didn’t come here for no reason! You might say so, but you better hand over your Star Chart so we can verify some matters.”

Shang Xia wasn’t surprised by his sudden change in attitude.

As a peak-tier Spirit World, the high-level True Immortals might be afraid of the intrusion from Essence Worlds, or their fellow allies, but definitely not members of other Spirit Worlds.

As for pretending to be from the Essence Ping World… Shang Xia felt that there was no point in doing it since the Spirit Mammoth World was already fucking them over.

Getting them to hand over their Star Chart was only a matter of self preservation. After all, no world would want others to hold a map of their location.

Naturally… Handing it over was impossible!

Not only did the chart contain the passage to the Spirit Tip World, it contained how to pass through the Star Curtain and the presence of the Heaven Observation Field.

Shang Xia chuckled softly, “There’s no way I’m handing it over. It’s the fruits of labor of the Stargazers of my world. Please believe that we hold no ill intention. If we can trust each other, our worlds might be able to conduct trade, benefiting both sides. In the future when our relationship gets even better, we might even…”

“Forming a better relationship? Fellow True Immortal, what are you referring to?” A voice interrupted Shang Xia before he could finish.

Turning to look to the side, Shang Xia didn’t show any trace of surprise. After all, he wasn’t talking to the fourth tier True Immortal earlier. His words were actually directed to the person hidden in the void.

“I am Shang Xia of the Spirit Luxuriant World. I hope I did not offend you by passing through this region of space. How should I address fellow True Immortals of the Spirit Tip World?” Shang Xia didn’t respond to their question immediately. Instead, he asked about their identities.

The person who spoke last finally emerged from the void but even though he was standing there, he seemed to be part of the space around him. It was as though he had been there unnoticed by everyone else all along.

Without a doubt, the True Immortal who appeared was someone who surpassed Shang Xia. He was an expert at the level of Extreme Harmonization, a sixth tier True Immortal!
