Two days had passed since the disappearance of the scouting party sent by the Dragonkin General to collect information about the southern lands of the continent.
However, Prince Aurelion didn’t seem to mind the loss. He even left the command of the army to his general and focused his attention into learning more about the world of Pangea.
After Prince Aurelion’s urging, the Jinns taught him how to use the communicator, which was a technology unavailable in Gomorra.
The technology of the Wanderes got his interest piqued, and he wanted to know more about them.
He believed it wouldn’t be meaningless to gain some knowledge about the world he was in. After all, in his eyes, it was only a matter of time before he became the absolute ruler of this world, and everything on it belonged to him by right.
As soon as he was able to navigate around the communicator, the first thing he did was gather information about the most prominent Wanderers in Pangea.
They were apparently the strongest Wanderers on the side of humanity, and what he discovered made him snort.
“You’re dealing with such weaklings, and you still haven’t conquered this world?” Prince Aurelion said to Prince Zepharion in disdain. “How low have you fallen?”
“Fight the Wanderers first, then we’ll talk,” Prince Zepharion sneered back. “I want to see how you defeat these so-called weaklings.”
The Prince of the Garuda Empire wanted nothing more than to let Zion annihilate the arrogant Crown Prince of the Dragonkin, who was more talented than him.
“I’m not in a rush,” Prince Aurelion replied. “Me becoming the ruler of this world is inevitable. Since that is the case, I don’t mind taking my time to learn more about this world.”
He then glanced at the Succubus Princess, Princess Xynalia, and asked her about the details of the temporary alliance with the Wanderers.
“So all of you decided to fight a common enemy?” Prince Aurelion chuckled. “I don’t know if this Zion fellow is smart, or if all of you are just stupid. Clearly, he was just buying time, so that they can extend this war, and all of you fell for it.”
“No, Prince Aurelion.” Princess Xynalia shook her head. “You underestimate the power of the Azothralls. Also, the faction that the Azothralls belonged to have also crossed over here in Pangea.
“According to the intelligence report that Zion had passed to us, they have an army that is led by an Archon. You might have the upper hand when it comes to the high-class combatants, but their army as a whole surpassed what you have brought here with you in this world.”
Princess Xynalia then gave a breakdown of the Artemian Army.
Excluding the eight Azothralls who had decided to form their own faction, the Artemian Army led by Archon, Lucan.
He was the Archon who had hijacked the portal in Solterra so that he could send the first batch of Azothralls in Pangea.
Acting as his two main bodyguards were two golden Azothralls, whose rank was of Pseudo-Archons.
That in itself couldn’t be considered a threat. After all, the Dragonkin had two Majin Princes and a Majin Princess.
However, the scary part was the forces below that of a Rank 9.
The Rank 8 Azothralls that Lucan had brought with him numbered a hundred.
A hundred Rank 8 Sovereigns was nothing to scoff at.
It was a force that could devastate any Jinn Faction if they decided to conduct a blitzkrieg operation, just like what Zion had done.
But it didn’t end there.
They had a thousand Rank 7 Azothralls, and tens of thousand of Rank 6 Azothralls.
That was the true force of the Artemian Army.
An army that was meant for conquest, which even Prince Aurelion couldn’t ignore.
“Can this information be trusted?” Prince Aurelion asked. “Maybe Zion Leventis is just exaggerating things to make everyone panic.”
“Zion asked me to pass a message to you if you ever say that he was just exaggerating,” Princess Xynalia stated. “The Artemian’s temporary stronghold is located at the Northeast of this continent. Feel free to send your scouts to verify his claims.”
Prince Zepharion sneered because he had seen something that made him laugh internally.
Prince Aurelion had acted as if he already got this world in the bag, but after hearing the might of the Artemian Army, his face turned serious, even if only for a brief moment.
Suddenly, Princess Xynalia’s communicator made a beeping sound.
She then read the message that Thirteen had sent her before tapping a few buttons to open the file that had been sent to her.
A moment later, a projection appeared, showing the images of the Azothralls that were pouring out of the mutated Genocide-Tier Gate.
This was the early recording of the Artemian Army’s crossing, and all the faces of the Jinn Leaders turned grim when they saw the army that had come to challenge them for the rule of this world.
A frown appeared on Prince Aurelion’s face. He had to admit, if what he was seeing was true, there was indeed a need to take the threat of the Azothralls more seriously.
While the Jinns were debating on their next course of action, Thirteen and the Leaders of the alliance were also having their own meeting.
———
Casimir City…
“If that army crosses over to the Sirius Continent, this world is finished,” Lawrence said in a serious tone.
“We can’t stop them with what we have right now.” Renz nodded. “Our only hope for survival is that they will not be able to cross the sea and reach the Sirius and Aldebaran continents.”
The Artemian Army made everyone feel like their previous war was just a child’s game.
Everyone looked visibly depressed, except for the teenage boy, who was sipping his hot chocolate in peace.
They then started to brainstorm on how they should handle this matter. But after nearly an hour, they came with nothing.
Thirteen, who was on his second cup of hot choco, simply listened to everyone’s suggestion.
Wendell Elrod and Renz proposed that they create a temporary headquarters at sea, similar to the main headquarters of the Dvalinn Federation.
This would allow them to strike anywhere in the Cygni Continent, while having a safe base to return to.
The plan was met with the approval of the majority, who thought that it was a brilliant idea.
Also, by leaving the continent, albeit temporarily, they could just sit back and watch the Jinns and the Artemian Army duke it out with each other.
The Wanderers didn’t need to lose anything. On the contrary, they had more to gain by becoming mere spectators.
Thirteen didn’t say anything and simply listened to everyone’s proposal.
The people inside the conference room also understood that they couldn’t always depend on Zion for everything.
They had to think for themselves and not let the teenage boy shoulder all the thinking by himself.
He shouldn’t be the only one taking the heavy responsibility of keeping their world safe from the invaders, who came from another world.
Thirteen had his own plans, especially since Camazotz and Zapar were now also in Pangea.
Last but not the least, he couldn’t leave House Pavareth behind since they were now technically his in-laws.
Of course, the Skavari, the Azrakith Court, and the Velmoria Kingdom were also factions that he cared about.
Even if all the Jinns perished, those factions must survive no matter what.
After finalizing the Naval Headquarters, Lawrence glanced at Zion and asked for his opinion.
He was still their Supreme Strategist at the end of the day, and they also wanted to know his thoughts about their plan.
“The plan of building a Naval Headquarters is brilliant,” Thirteen said. “Not only will it preserve the bulk of our armies, it also allows us to strike at our discretion while having a safe place to return to.
“The scale of this war has already surpassed everything in history, let alone what we have seen so far. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration that we are truly facing genocide-level threats right now.”
Everyone in the meeting room remained silent because they knew that Zion wasn’t finished just yet.
“Frankly, I have nothing else to add to this plan. This is indeed the best way to handle the situation. Staying here just means that needless sacrifices will be made. This is something that we should avoid at all costs.
“So we should strike while the iron is still hot. Mobilize the army and start the evacuation, right now. We can have another meeting once everyone is safe out of sea. Also, report to those who are still in the Sirius, and Aldebaran Continent to prepare the materials that will be needed to build the naval base.
“As for the distance… five hundred miles away from the shores of the Cygni Continent should be enough. That way, we can launch missiles from the Headquarters itself. It will also serve as our line of defense against the Artemians should they attempt to cross over to the sea.”
Everyone noticed that Zion had chosen to use the word “Artemians” instead of the Jinns.
From his statement alone, it was obvious that he was leaning more on the fact that the Artemians would have the advantage against the Jinns in their all-out war against each other.
“Since Zion has already approved of this plan, we will start the evacuation now,” Lawrence said. “Fortunately, we have already briefed our soldiers to be ready to leave at any time, so we can move without delays.”
A few minutes later, everyone left the conference room, but Thirteen stayed behind.
He was still looking at the projection at the center of the conference table, which showed the red blinking dots of the Jinns, and the purple blinking dots that represented the Artemian Army.
The main reason why Thirteen approved of the plan for the evacuation of the Wanderers was because he didn’t want them to die needless deaths.
While others planned to evacuate, he decided to stay and work together with Camazotz and Zapar.
Since the two of them couldn’t leave the Cygni Continent like he could, they were bound to face off against the Jinns or the Artemian Army sooner or later.
Lastly, Thirteen believed that without the eyes constantly monitoring him, he would be able to act on his plans better.
Thirteen was already a one-man army on his own.
And with the members of the Order of the Apocalypse, as well as some Azothralls who decided to have an identity, Thirteen believed that he could flip the table once more.
He wasn’t afraid of chaos. In fact, he thrived in it.
Thirteen also wanted to teach the arrogant pricks, who thought that they could do anything to his backyard, a lesson that they would never forget in their lifetime.
