System's POV
Chapter 959 - 959: The Real Monster In The Cygni Continent [Part 2]Four hours.
The Jinns watched the teenage boy skin Prince Zorren alive for four straight hours.
And he didn’t just do it once. Nor once. Nor twice. But multiple times.
Meaning, every time the Skavari Prince was completely skinned, his skin miraculously regenerated, and the teenage boy would start all over again.
And for every square one, the young man chose would choose a different area to start on, as if showing everyone how good he was at skinning someone.
“Kill me!” shouted Prince Zorren, going crazy from the pain. “Just kill me!”
Thirteen ignored him and continued his work, obviously finding great joy in what he was doing.
For some reason, he found the act of torturing the Prince quite relaxing, allowing him to set aside the worries he had about getting milked dry by his lovers when night came.
At first, the Jinns who hated Prince Zorren were amused by the show, even entertained as they watched Zion torture the former.
By the second and third attempts, though their interest waned, they were still fine with it.
However, by the fifth cycle, no matter how much they hated Prince Zorren, they couldn’t help but feel bothered, even more so when they noticed that Zion seemed to be happier as he cut through the Prince’s flesh, eliciting screams from the latter until his voice was hoarse.
No one knew how many times it had been, but after the teenage boy was done, he didn’t snap his fingers to heal Prince Zorren’s injuries right away.
Instead, he looked at the camera with a smile.
“Were you all entertained?” Thirteen asked with a smile. “Don’t worry. If I catch any of you in the future, I promise you will receive the same treatment. What? You’re not thinking that once your reinforcements arrive, you won’t have anything to fear, are you?”
The teenage boy smirked before moving closer to the camera.
“What makes you think I’ll wait for that to happen?” Thirteen winked at the camera. “Do you really feel safe and secure in your bases right now? Ah, right—Princess Laventia, are you watching this?
“Do not think for a moment that I have forgotten you. Allow me to remind you that you are the accomplice of this scum who tried to kidnap my fiancee. Did you have some sort of wishful thinking—that I’ll let you off easily? Wash your neck, little girl. Because you’re next.”
“Hiiik!” Princess Laventia, who was watching the television, jumped back in fear.
Her face had already lost all of its color from watching the Skavari Prince’s punishment. But after hearing Zion specifically name her in his threat, she lost the strength in her legs, and her body fell to the ground.
She truly regretted accompanying Prince Zorren on this mission. But she had no time for regrets. She had to find a place to hide, so she could escape the teenage boy’s wrath.
“Ah, right, to the members of the Skavari Race, if you want your Prince back, make sure to pay a Prince-worthy ransom,” Thirteen stated. “I’ll keep in touch.”
After saying those words, the live torture broadcast finally came to an end, and all the television channels returned to normal.
Thirteen, who had ended the broadcast, sneered at the Prince, who was currently shackled by chains that not even a true Majin Prince could easily break free from.
As for the ransom part? That was just bullsh*t.
Thirteen had no intention of letting Prince Zorren live.
At least, he had no intention of letting him return to the way he was now.
“Kesari, come,” Thirteen ordered.
The Ratman general, whom Thirteen had added to the Parade of a Hundred Demons, manifested beside the teenage boy and knelt in front of him.
“Here, My Lord!” Kesari replied.
Thirteen drew a rune symbol in the air and pressed it over Prince Zorren’s forehead.
The prince screamed as if his soul was being burned at the spot where the teenage boy’s finger was pressing.
Five minutes later, Thirteen pulled his finger back and pressed it over Kesari’s forehead.
He had copied all of Prince Zorren’s memory, and now, he was pasting them onto Kesari’s.
Once the transfer was done, the Ratman fell unconscious, his senses overwhelmed by the torrent of information Thirteen had funneled into him.
Thirteen had no intention of letting Prince Zorren live.
He planned to strip the Skavari Prince’s soul from his body and let Kesari take over it as his new vessel.
Since Kesari was a Ratman, and the Skavari Race was just the evolved form of the Ratman Race, he was the perfect candidate to become the “new” Prince Zorren, who would be completely under Thirteen’s control.
This was also why he had asked Prince Zorren’s subordinates to prepare a ransom. It was simply a trick that granted him a valid excuse to return the “prince” to his people.
“Kill me… Please, just kill me… I beg of you,” Prince Zorren pleaded.
The injuries in his body had once again fully recovered, and he thought Zion would torture him once more.
He was at the brink of insanity, and death would be a hundred times better than being tortured once more by the one whom he now labeled as a monster in human form.
“In your next life, make sure you don’t make the same mistake of antagonizing me again,” Thirteen said. “Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind torturing you for eternity.”
Thirteen then took out a sword from his storage ring and plunged it into the Prince’s chest, aimed directly at his heart.
“… Thank… you.”
The light in Prince Zorren’s eyes faded, and his body stiffened in place.
Metatron appeared beside the teenage boy and looked at the pitiful prince who had died in Thirteen’s hands.
“I thought you were going to torture him more,” Metatron commented.
“I wish I could,” Thirteen replied. “But I just recovered from my illness. Four hours is my limit.”
Although he didn’t look like it, Thirteen was actually quite exhausted.
Skinning someone alive wasn’t an easy thing to do, and it required both skill and intense concentration.
He wished he could torture the prince more, but he didn’t want to get nagged on by Erica and Shana if he once again collapsed after his trip to the Domain of the Apocalypse.
They tried to come with him, but he asked Metatron to temporarily remove the rights of the two ladies to go to the domain until he was done with what he needed to do.
As the most obedient one among Zion’s fiancées, Sherry didn’t even bother asking if she could accompany him because she sensed her lover’s killing intent.
She loved Zion very much, but she didn’t dare to see his cruel side, which was why she didn’t go to the domain despite not being restricted from doing so.
Metatron then clapped his hands once, and the dead body once again came back to life.
The only difference was that this time, it no longer had a soul.
It was simply a vessel.
A vessel that was waiting for Kesari to possess, allowing him to take the role of the Skavari Prince, and become the teenage boy’s eyes and ears in the upcoming war that would decide the fate of everyone in the Cygni Continent.
