Knowing the next threat for him was related to Chaos energy hinted by the System itself, Rex needs to get to the bottom of this, without missing any details. Dargena City—the core of his Clarentium Empire is extremely durable and strong thanks to the castle.
It would need multiple ninth-rank realm entities to break through the outer barrier.
Now, the barrier could probably block a peak tenth-rank realm attack fine.
Even before reaching the barrier, the Circling Sentinel, hovering above the cityscape was the first obstacle that needed to be confronted. It is extremely fast-moving, and could anticipate any projectile attacks.
But now, those defensive measures were rendered useless.
Since Chaos energy, spreads through corruption—not a literal attack, it could pass through both defensive measures without a hitch. Rex took what he encountered at the Colosseum lightly, and now his city was attacked by a chaos spawn.
Due to that, he was not going to take this lightly anymore.
<Analyze complete!>
<Kileena's Analyzer item fits the user's description and could be bought for 5 million gold>
...<Kileena's Analyzer>
Equipment Rank: Legendary (Tenth-rank)
Durability: 100/100
Rune Slot: 0/1
Description: Encased in dark stone from the depth of the chaos realm, Kileena's Analyzer is a device used to gauge the level of chaos energy in the surroundings, effective for two miles in radius. It features an ethereal crystal orb at its center—surrounded by rotating rings. When in use, the wings will fluctuate with a resonant hum, and show accurate data on a small magical screen.
Its name 'Kileena' is used, as the materials this device is made were from Kileena, the Anarchic Weaver's realm.
...
Below the description of the item was a manual for using the device.
Rex read through the manual and frowned as using the device was not as simple as putting it down and letting it do the work, there were things he needed to prepare. Even then, it wasn't a problem.
However, what Rex does take as a problem is its effective range.
It's only good for two miles...? Rex frowned, that was not nearly enough to his liking. It could not cover the city and the forest. If I want to also cover the Chrono Hollow too, I might need to buy three or even four of these Kileena's Analyzers.
Nevertheless, Rex was not going to be stingy, he had gold to spare.
Matter of fact, he thinks that it is time to spend his stacking gold on city developments.
Arriving at the hospital's top floor, the eighth floor, Dray led him to a secluded room, where a lone patient lay on the bed. It was an Orc, his massive body barely fitting on the bed, but the youthful features of his face made Rex suspect he was still quite young.
Even the tusks that came out of his mouth were not as robust as some of the other Orcs.
He was still confused as to what made this Orc reach here.
But he decided to focus on the matters at hand and approached the Orc, not forgetting to tell Dray to stay outside. Even before entering the room—the hallway leading to that room was already corroding and melting. ŖâꞐɵꞖËŠ
It was a surreal sight, and the two reckoned that it was the Chaos energy's doings.
Looking at the Orc from top to bottom, Rex could see visible unhealed wounds.
"He was fighting before whatever happened to him, happened," Rex said lightly, the wounds were the testament that the Orc was in battle before he got corrupted. "Seems like his state of being made it impossible for his wounds to be healed. More importantly..."
Finishing his visual observation, he moved to scanning the Orc with the System.

...
Upon seeing the stat, Rex's eyes fixated on the word 'corrupted' next to Zarnak's name. He then tried tapping on it, and was surprised when another tab opened—providing a detailed explanation of the state of corruption.
He knew that it would work because he scanned the corrupted people outside earlier.
All of them were said to be corrupted by chaos energy.
Naturally, Rex attributed this more detailed explanation to the System upgrade.
Scanning the explanation—Rex found the difference, between the other corrupted patients outside with Zarnak's corruption. Even though all were corrupted by Pure Chaos Energy—it was only Zarnak who got corrupted directly.
Like sickness, the other corrupted patients got corrupted through indirect exposure.
Zarnak, on the other hand, got corrupted through direct exposure.
It would be fine if Zarnak was a citizen of the city which meant that he was corrupted here.
But the fact that he came from outside indicates a worse problem.
Rex sweated slightly as he realized what this meant.
He had a lot of things to do, especially with the pressing deadline—and was not eager to be confronted, by another problem. However—scanning Zarnak revealed the presence of other chaos portals outside, and the potential existence of a Major Chaos Phantom—which would be particularly troublesome.
Since the corruption was so severe, the chaos portal Zarnak encountered must be strong.
Strong enough to make the corruption create more chaos phantoms.
"Damn it," Rex cursed under his breath, putting both hands on his waist as he contemplated another way to deal, with the situation. He needs manpower, people that are strong enough to be sent out on their own. "Kyran and Flunra are the only ones—Evelyn and Calidora need to stay in the city, and Adhara might be able to be alone. But still, that's not enough..."
At this very moment, Rex needs to go to the Spirit Realm.
Before he does that, however, he needs to make sure that everything is fine here first.
Just as he was thinking of the approach—that he was going to take, to deal with this matter, his eyes suddenly widened when he realized he had forgotten something, "Caraptaros! I had not turned it into a Werewolf. A tenth-rank realm venom should be fine, right? I also need the third King Mark to overpower its fragment of Origin, hmm, I think I know what to do"
Moments later, Rex went to the town hall where Kyran and Linthia were already waiting.
It was the room where Evelyn and Calidora talked with Ken earlier.
Entering the room, Rex took a seat on the sofa.
Despite his throbbing mind, from the problems attacking him from all sides, his face was that of a stoic one without emotion. Soon, Linthia placed a couple of things on the table for him—a device, a map, and several neatly stacked folders.
"Here are the things the messenger from the Human race delivered earlier," Linthia said.
Upon hearing this, Rex nodded his head and checked the things.
Ignoring the device, as he already scanned it and found that it was a communication device, he went to look at the map, with a red X-mark on it, "So, this is where the Angels are coming from? How many are there?"
"A legion of Angels comprising of hundreds," Linthia replied, recounting what Ken said.
She then added, "All of them are expected to be at the eighth and ninth-rank realm,"
Rex scoffed when he heard this, as that kind of power would practically make them invincible if it was still the First Breath. Even though now was the Second Breath, it was still a fearsome line-up that not a lot of forces could match.
Trailing their path, his eyes then landed on the edge of the continent.
"Do you know what was there? Is there any race, occupying that spot?" Rex asked—pointing at the edge of the continent. He knows that the motive of the Angels is still unknown—so he needs to know who would encounter them first.
Looking at the spot he pointed at, Linthia nodded her head, "There was nothing there,"
"If the Angels, went on a straight line—they would arrive at Saltura Beach, and enter Saltura Forest, from there. Nobody owns that spot, and even if there are other races there, it would be the low-rank Supernatural races" She explained.
Knowing that Rex was going to eventually ask, she made the effort to find this information.
Asking here and there, she found the updated map of the continent.
"But there is a mid-rank Supernatural race kingdom outside of the forest," She added finally.
Upon hearing this, Rex raised an eyebrow in question as a mid-rank Supernatural race is not to be underestimated. As opposed to letting the Angels annihilate them, it would be better if Rex helped and recruited them.
"It's the Tabaxi Race," Linthia continued, causing Rex to lean back in surprise.
Rex looked into her eyes and found that she was not joking about this.
The Tabaxi Race was a race of Werecats. Stay tuned with mvl
Compared to Demons, Werewolves, Vampires, and other high-rank races, Rex knew this one, the Tabaxi Race the best. It was because the Tabaxi race, was a low-rank Supernatural race, and most of the veteran people—who trained him back when he was still in the military were fond of the Tabaxi race.
Most of the time, they were confronted by the Tabaxis, so Rex heard things from them.
Because of that—Rex was surprised to know the Tabaxi race had become a mid-rank race.
"Okay, tell the closest kingdoms to the Tabaxis to inform them about the Angel's arrival—and make sure to recruit them to pledge to the Clarentium Empire," Rex instructed resolutely. "If a deal needs to be made, then do it,"
Upon hearing this, Linthia nodded and would instantly do that after this.
Moving away from the map, Rex went to look at the folders.
He scanned through the words and found it was a profile about an Angel named Calignar.
"Calignar, who is he?" Rex asked.
Linthia replied, "He is the Angel who was leading the legion coming here,"
Rex took a second look at the profile after hearing that, and instantly went over to the lower part of the profile, stating the feats of this Calignar. He looked through it and found that this Angel was the one responsible for destroying an Undead Kingdom.
He was also one of the trusted Archangel to Void.
Simply put, he was the Kyran of the leader of the Angel sent on a mission to conquer.
"Okay—share this with the other kingdoms—and tell them to prepare in case there's going to be a battle when the Angel legion arrives. Also, make sure to tell them to have an open ear to a fixed explanation on why the Angel set their eyes here," Rex instructed.
But then, Kyran suddenly intervened, "There might be an Angel in the Tigerman kingdom,"
"Maybe a scouting party was sent before the arrival of the Angel legion," He added.
Upon hearing this, Rex turned towards him, "Can you find and capture the Angel?"
Kyran simply smirked when he was asked that.
He had not searched for the Angel seriously before because he thought it was not an Angel, but now that he knew—he would take searching for that Angel, seriously, "Not a problem—it will be done shortly"
Rex nodded as that concluded the matter.
System, I also want to buy the Force Ethos Academy for my city, purchase it now.
<Affirmative.>
<20 million gold has been deducted to purchase Force Ethos Academy>
<Please set the location of the Force Ethos Academy to proceed to the next process>
I'll check the Vortex Pit of Elements, and as I do that, I'll do more makeovers to the city.
As he learned more about the Chrono Hollow, surrounding the city—and its rules Rex realized the urgent need to make the others, strong force users. It became a priority—for everyone to at the very least be a yellow force user, enabling them to navigate the Chrono Hollow alone.
Because of that, Rex decided to buy the Force Ethos Academy to train them all.
Overall, it would also make the entire city stronger so it was gold well-spent.
Just then, however, Rex remembered something.
He had already got back from his scouting expedition, but he hadn't seen the girls at all.
"Where is everyone...?" He asked aloud with a frown on his face.
