Chapter 2876 Commencing Solution
“Your Majesty! The Shionel Confederation reports a nine percent increase in their Martial Masters!”
“The Viola Kingdom reports a twelve percent increase in Martial Seniors!”
“The Beggar Sect reports a fifteen percent increase in Martial Apprentices around the continent!”
Emperor Rael’s expression grew strained as even he struggled to process the unending influx of reports from across all of human civilization. His smooth, silky golden hair was uncharacteristically disheveled while dark bags had formed on his ordinarily perfect skin and face.
His golden flew about as information bombarded him from all ends. He hadn’t been this strained and pushed since the Beast Incursion commenced.
Such was the sheer magnitude of what had happened.
Half a day had passed since Rui’s little global stunt had ended. He hadn’t gotten even a single moment of rest since his unruly son ditched their meeting and ran to the Esocline Federation with his lover in his arms before proceeding to shower the entire world with breakthroughs.
The Emperor of Harmony hadn’t even considered this possibility as a solution.
It hadn’t even crossed his mind.
Not because he wasn’t smart enough to consider it, he most certainly was.
But because he hadn’t thought, even in his wildest dreams, that such a feat was even remotely possible. Casting a hypnotic technique across the entirety of the Panama Continent?
In all its massive size?
“Hahaha!” Sage Damian laughed spiritedly, sitting opposite the Emperor of Harmony. “Your lad’s good, I’ll give you that. I can’t wait to attack him when he comes back and test his strength!”
The Devil’s smile was gruesome.
“He’s going to be exhausted when he gets back,” Emperor Rael’s tone was composed. “Do you really want to fight when he’s weakened from exhaustion?”
“…Hm, then I will postpone it for another time.”
The Emperor of Harmony heaved a sigh internally.
It was impossible to control the Devil, he could only manage and manipulate him. And that was precisely what he had been doing for the longest of time to prevent him from going out of control.
“What do you think about what happened?” Emperor Rael asked with a raised eyebrow. “Are Martial Sages able to perform such feats? Have I underestimated what you lot are capable of? Or…”
“Hah! Most Martial Sages are weak maggots,” the Devil snarled. “Your lad is an exception. Casting a hypnosis across the entire continent should be impossible even for Martial Sages, he must have used an exquisite technique to over the barriers of distance. He most likely relied on the same principles that allowed his Martial Embodiment to spread across the entire world. Hehehe, a clever bastard he is.”
Emperor Rael fell into thought as he considered the possibility with an intrigued expression. He didn’t understand how any of it worked, but the rationale didn’t seem implausible. “I suppose I will just have to ask him when he returns.”
“Hmph, there’s no need to concern yourself with the power of the Divine,” Martriarch Nephi snorted with contempt, standing some distance away from the Emperor of Harmony. “Lord Virodhabhasa is not bound by the same limitations of us mortals. So declares the Transcendent Prophet.”
“…Regardless of how he did it, what matters the most is that he did it,” Emperor Rael mused with a knowing expression. “We won’t have to agonize over how humanity will achieve Sage-independence.”
The solution had been found and delivered unto the world before anybody even realized what was happening.
And that meant one and only one thing.
“It’s time…” the Emperor of Harmony’s eyes sharpened. “It’s time to commence the Solution of Harmony.”
It had been a long and agonizing wait ever since he had proposed it years ago in the Human Summit. Since then, Rui had traveled from powerhouse to powerhouse spreading his gifts to each and every single powerhouse in the entire world.
He had run into countless hurdles and challenges, and had overcome almost each and every single one of them to successfully get each nation fully on-board to the Solution of Harmony.
Almost each and every single one of them. The Gu visit had been the single greatest fiasco of the entirety of the mission, and yet it was starting to prove to be a net positive strategically, in that the elimination of a hidden threat more dangerous than the entire Beast Incursion and the birth of one of the most extraordinary Martial Sages in existence. And after more than four years, it was finally time.
“Call for a meeting with all Sage-level nations in the entire continent,” Emperor Rael instructed his Royal Secretary. “Nearly all preparations have been made. The final roadblock to the Solution of Harmony has been completed. With the final preparations already commenced, we should be able to commence the Solution of Harmony within a ten-day deadline.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
The Kandrian Empire and the nations around got to work immediately as it became increasingly clear that the condition of Sage-independence had been met. From the variety of reports that flooded the Emperor of Harmony, he could tell that most polities had gained the surge in power that they needed to hold off the Beast Incursion and cope with the increased difficulty.
Many nations that had been upgraded to the next Realm by Rui’s breakthroughs were now able to not only cope with the extra pressure that they received but even slowly push back. Even if humanity hadn’t accomplished absolute independence like they had before, it was enough of a buffer that commencing the Solution of Harmony was worth it anyway.
Not a single powerhouse wanted to delay the Solution of Harmony anymore in fear of the emergence of a third quasi-Transcendent beast that would once again energize and strengthen the Beast Incursion, further postponing the Solution of Harmony. It needed to be down immediately with the bare minimum of delays. Humanity had thoroughly adapted to the Beast Incursion psychologically, socioculturally, and politically. It would not collapse due to the absence of Sages even if they had or hadn’t met the conditions of Sage-independence.
And thus, the Solution of Harmony was very soon to commence.
