The Martial Unity

Chapter 3148: Discovered Power

Chapter 3148: Discovered Power

It wasn’t long before Rui found himself facing off against the little girl in a little sparring match at his insistence.

While he would have loved to catch up with Max and Mana, now that he had run into an offspring of the Blood Goddess, he couldn’t help but want to get a good understanding of how strong she was.

With Anthea’s legacy having reached Moridia, there was no doubt that the next generation of evolutionaries was going to be monsters that beggared the imagination. Human civilization needed to ensure that its blood children were strong so that when their blood spread through human civilization, they would allow human civilization to grow strong enough to overcome their evolved adversaries.

A cool breeze brushed across the opening, sweeping across Rui and Arastia while the light of dawn emerged from beneath the horizon.

STEP

Arastia took a balanced stance as she furrowed her little blood-red eyebrows, trying to put on a fierce expression.

And yet, she was nothing short of adorable in Rui’s eyes as he resisted the urge to fawn over her.

Rui simply stood some distance away from her.

“Come.” His tone was calm.

Arastia narrowed her eyes. “Hyah!”

She charged towards him with a remarkably superhuman speed, arriving before him in a split second. Her morphed into an open palm that charged towards him with great speed and power.

BAM!

Rui blocked her attack with a simple gesture, allowing her fist to properly and fully impact him.

The sheer force with which she had struck him would easily kill any ordinary man.

The sheer force with which she struck him significantly exceeded the physical power that even Nel had displayed when he got into the Martial Academy at the age of fifteen. Arastia’s eyes narrowed at Rui’s successful defense, unleashing a flurry of open palm attacks against his guard.

BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM!

Each blow she threw at him unleashed a gust of wind with the sheer power that her body was able to generate. It was no wonder that she was still in the process of controlling her power so that she didn’t hurt ordinary individuals.

The human equivalent was no different from trying to hold a soap bubble without bursting it. The reason Martial Squires and above could control their power was thanks to the cognitive endowments of the Apprentice Realm and the Squire Realm.

She has yet to gain the former, requiring more effort to do what Martial Squires could do. Still, the fact that a young girl possessed such immense destructive power was quite remarkable.

Eventually, this power would be dispersed through human civilization.

Even though it would likely be even more diluted, the fact of the matter was that the future generations of Martial Artists would be astronomically stronger than Martial Artists today, allowing them to keep up with the threats of the true world.

WHOOSH

Arastia’s eyes widened as Rui casually evaded her attack, causing her attack to crash into thin air. Her eyes sharpened as she turned to pursue Rui with an aggressive onslaught of attack.

Rui evaded each of them by a hair’s breadth, much to her frustration.

He measured her speed and agility with satisfaction.

She moved so fast that the average human being would not even be able to perceive her motions, and her reaction and reflexes speed followed suit.

Rui held back his speed and power greatly as he launched a palm jab to her ribs at the speed of an arrow, something that would be absolutely impossible for an ordinary human being to evade.

WHOOSH

She easily sidestepped the blow, spinning about it as she closed the distance and jumping to launch a powerful kick to his face.

BAM!

She gasped with pain as his fist struck her abdomen.

“Let’s put your durability to the test,” Rui remarked calmly. “I’m afraid this is going to hurt.”

BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM!

Rui peppered her with careful and weak blows.

By his standards, of course.

Each blow would have crushed the body of a normal human being, and yet Arastia remained alive and well.

BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM!

“Ngh…!” She gritted her teeth as she desperately guarded against all the blows, as several light scratches and bruises emerged on her body.

And yet, they began healing at a stunning pace, disappearing as fast as they came.

She was already as strong as weaker Martial Apprentices as a twelve-year-old girl.

And yet, she hadn’t even displayed the full potential of her Martial Body despite that.

FLICK

Her eyes widened as Rui left a cut on her hand.

Blood started dripping from the wound.

And yet, Rui was only getting started.

FLICK FLICK FLICK FLICK FLICK!

Cut after cut, he opened wounds on her body as she started bleeding from every part of her body. Max and Mana watched with alarm as Rui started going overboard with the damage he inflicted on a little girl.

And yet, his expression remained calm as he continued.

Each cut was painful, as was clearly visible from the pained expression on the girl’s face.

The more pressure and pain he put her in, the stronger her desperation grew.

“Stop…!” She barely managed to squeeze amid the pain.

Rui didn’t adhere to her desperation..

He calmly continued putting even more pressure on her.

Her blood-red eyes flickered with intensity.

“I said stop!”

The force of her will crossed a critical threshold.

And her blood itself responded to the call.

It surged forth with great power, blasting Rui in a small liquid wave of concussive force.

It was what he was waiting for.

BAM!!

The sheer force caused him to skid away from her as his eyes lit up with enthusiasm at what he beheld before him. Arastia’s expression grew shocked as her blood floated before her in an unnatural fashion, responding to her will. “Eh? Ehhhh…???”

Not even Max and Mana could contain their bewilderment at the strange phenomenon they were beholding right before their very eyes.

“What the hell is this…?!”
