’Now, where should I go?’ Aiden thought as he knew the forest he was currently flying over was extremely large.

Without a map, it would be extremely hard for Aiden to find his way to where Wu Lan would be...

Still, Aiden knew he couldn’t stay close to the laboratory, or else there would be a good chance for Bo to find him again, and this time...he surely wouldn’t be letting him leave.

Aiden looked around himself, trying to decide the direction he would be heading toward. There were huge trees all around him; this was no simple decision.

He spent some time trying to think about which side would be the most advantageous. However, the answer was simple...there was no advantage for him in any of the directions. He simply needed to take a risk and go. Read new chapters at empire

That’s exactly what he did, and he decided to head toward the south of the forest. He remembered that the weather around the Dual Cultivation Sect was quite hot, meaning that it should be situated near the south end of the world.

’Let’s hope I’m right.’

Hours passed by, and there was still nothing different.

’Trees...are there only damn trees in this world?’

Aiden clenched his fists. However, he didn’t give up. He continued to go forward as fast as he could handle. It was taxing his body, but none of that mattered. He needed to find a human civilization. That was the key to all his problems.

And then...when all hope was lost, he spotted the end of that fucking forest! He had done it. He could see the grasslands! There were no longer trees everywhere.

Excited, he started going even faster. He could feel it; he was getting closer to a village, to a city, and to a sect. It didn’t matter what it was. He just wanted to see someone who could guide him in the right direction.

As he finally reached the grasslands, a distinct smell entered his nose. It was appetizing and rich in flavor. Aiden hadn’t smelled something this nice in a long, long time...

After all, the only thing he had smelled for the entirety of his past life was blood from the people he had killed, and the smell of rotting dead bodies wasn’t the nicest, that’s for sure.

’Food,’ Aiden thought because of the smell. ’It has to be food.’

Food meant that people would be eating it, meaning that there were bound to be some humans nearby. However, there was the sight of a sect or a city.

’Please don’t tell me that’s in another batch of weirdos...’ Aiden thought, as he didn’t want to be led to the unknown laboratory to be tested on. He had already had that experience once, but he didn’t want to live it again.

As he continued to move forward, some smoke rose in the sky right in front of him. He looked downward and stopped a small campfire with three people sitting around it.

Aiden wasted no time and started heading for the ground. However, he did so by keeping some distance from those three individuals. He didn’t want them to know that he could fly. In fact, he didn’t want them to know about his strength; he would be keeping it a secret for the time being and interested in the actions he would be taking.

Landing a few hundred meters away from them, Aiden walked in their direction without any pressure.

A few minutes later, he finally managed to reach them on foot as the three people seemed to be in a heated conversation.

There was one girl with long blonde hair; her skin was perfect, like porcelain. Her eyes had this tint of green mixed with an azur color. She was also wearing quite a revealing dress, her cleavage, and her plump ass tightly held in that blue dress of hers.

Next to the beautiful girl was a bulky man with a large mace on his shoulder. He was having a hearty laugh, listening to the other man who was a lot smaller than him. The two men basically looked like the opposite of one another.

Aiden kept his presence somewhat camouflaged as he simply listened to their conversation for a few moments.

"Haha! Why are you so scared of entering the forest? I’m telling you, with me around, there’s nothing to be worried about!" The bulky man said as he let out a laugh.

The small man, however, didn’t seem of the same opinion, "You heard the Sect Master. We were only meant to scout the surroundings. The forest isn’t something Core Disciples like us should enter."

’Core Disciples?’ Aiden thought, unsure what that meant.

He didn’t quite remember if he heard that term back when he had visited this world. However, he wasn’t bothered by it as he took a few steps forward and finally announced himself with a cough.

-Ough!

-Ough!

"Who’s there?" The man who resembled a stick uttered as he sharply turned his head in the direction Aiden was.

"I-I’m lost. Can you help me?" Aiden uttered, his voice trembling.

However, the caution of the three individuals didn’t lower even with Aiden acting in such a way. After all, it made sense...Aiden just came out of nowhere in a region where there was absolutely nothing in their surroundings.

"Where are you coming from?" The slim man asked.

Aiden stopped for a second to think about his options. However, there weren’t many for him to explore, so he decided to tell the truth.

"From that forest, I decided to venture inside it, and I got lost. I-I’ve been lost inside it for three months."

The slim smiled and looked over at the burly one and said, "See, I told you. It’s dangerous to go inside."

"Hmpf, you’re comparing someone who barely managed to form their Qi Core to me? Are you doing this on purpose? Just look at him. He’s clearly weak."

Aiden kept his calm as those people clearly couldn’t sense his real strength because Aiden was far from being weak. He was sure of it.

"What sect are you from?" The girl, who hadn’t spoken yet, uttered.

The two boys’ heads turned sharply, not expecting her to speak.

"I had none...Well, I got banished from my sect, and that’s why I was in the forest."

The girl nodded, taking her time to think about her next words. Her eyes widened for a short moment when she heard he had gotten banished. However, they quickly returned back to normal.

"I see...well, we might be able to help you. We’re about to go back toward our sect. Though, you’ll only be able to enter if you pass the entrance test."

The two men’s eyes widened, unsure if they had heard her correctly.

Had she offered help to someone she had never seen before?

Aiden just smiled at the offer, unaware of how rare it was for someone to receive an offer to join a sect this easily.

"W-Wow, thank you so much...H-How can I thank you?" Aiden asked, his voice still trembling.

The girl let out a laugh and said, "Just make sure you pass the test, okay?"

A beautiful smile bloomed on her face as she uttered those words.
