Hearing this, Aiden nodded and made his choice.

He shook his head, having this thought.

"How did it go?" She asked, unsure what had happened in the other room.

As much as she had wanted to listen in to their conversation. She had made sure to keep her distance and give them some privacy.

"Uh...nothing much. I’m now part of the sect, and ah yeah...I became the Sect Master’s disciple."

"HUH?!"

Her eyes widened instantly as she glared at her master, who was right behind Aiden.

"Y-You, what? How? How is that possible?"

She tried her best not to shout, but the words came out of her mouth on her own. She couldn’t believe it. There was no way that Aiden had managed to become her disciple just after meeting her.

"What path of cultivation did you decide on?" Hua Mei asked, still shocked.

Before Aiden could even answer, Lu Zhi put herself between the two of them and uttered, "Dual cultivation, and he’ll be teaching under me for the time being."
