Silence fell into the room for a moment after Drake confirmed the truth about Amaterasu.

“Well, damn… So your past self… your previous life…” Drake muttered. “It became that?”

“When she died, yeah,” Yuki said. “From what I can tell, her death was not peaceful, the resentment, grief, and all other things turned her corpse into that… A Goddess of Decay who constantly creates those Yokai, and the origin of the Curse.”

“So that’s how it is…” Drake said. “Tell me Yuki, what do you want to do with her?”

“I… Despite how scary she was, there was something about her that made me really sad,” Yuki confessed. “I don’t want to destroy her or anything of the sort…”

“What? Then what do we do with her? She’s dangerous, and they’re constantly going to keep using her to-“

“Yeah, that’s why… I want to save her,” Yuki said. “Rotten or not, soulless or not, that’s… a part of me. I cannot just kill her… I cannot abandon her; it just feels wrong to me.”

“Yuki…”

Drake saw Yuki’s eyes filled with determination and emotions, this was perhaps the most serious he had ever seen her acting… he felt slightly bad about her, being wrapped on all of these dangerous things, discovering her dark past and her previous life, when back then she was living perfectly fine and happy as just a monster that had evolved.

“Alright, I got a jewel with me, one of her Tears,” Drake said, showing it to Yuki, her eyes widening. “I got this from the sorceress controlling those Yokai… This was most likely given to her by Oda Nobunaga, it is an item that can open a Dimensional Tear to that world.”

“…I know, just by glancing at it, I knew instantly,” Yuki muttered. “But… Just one is not enough, I’m afraid.”

“Wait, why?” Drake asked.

“Amaterasu’s Body and the Dark Dimension around her are all part of a single entity… the Dimension, I think it was born from her own Divine Realm, which became dark and corrupted after dying,” Yuki explained. “The Yokai are… her soul, the fragments of her soul she couldn’t separate in time before the darkness overtook them.”

“So that’s why they’re endless and so strong? They’re literally all her soul?! So when you take upon the Curse into your body, it is her very soul you’re letting possess you, huh?” Drake asked.

“Indeed, this is why the Yokai Curse is so powerful,” Yuki nodded. “Thing is, there’s three other Tears, if I cannot gather all four, I cannot really… do what I’m planning on doing.”

“What is it? You can trust me,” Drake said.

“I know I can trust you Drake…” Yuki smiled. “I plan to use the Tears as catalyzers, to let them absorb all the darkness and then purify it, and… let the two of us become one again.”

“So you plan to purify all darkness until you can unify? Are you sure that’s going to work at all?” Drake asked.

“I don’t know… that’s why I’ll need your help… I’m sorry, this is really selfish and not even important to your mission,” Yuki sighed. “It’s fine if you don’t want to do it.”

“Haha…” Drake laughed. “What are you talking about? Of course I’ll do it, Yuki. If its for you, I would even move mountains, you’re my friend.”

“…Drake,” Yuki muttered, blushing more and looking moved. “Hmph…”

“Huh? What’s wrong?” Drake asked, noticing Yuki got angry out of nowhere.

“Thank you,” she said, looking back at him. “But… geez, you talk in such ways… anybody would think you’re flirting with me too! You’re too nice for your own good!”

“Flirting?!” Drake asked. “I didn’t… meant to say that, sorry.”

“…It’s fine,” Yuki was red, looking at Drake while feeling overwhelmed by her own feelings.

There was some awkward silence, before Yuki talked again.

“Drake…”

“Yes?”

“I’m sorry…”

“What? Why?”

“For being dumb before, I shouldn’t have forced that kiss on you… It was weird and disrespectful towards your wives and even your kids… I didn’t think clearly when I did it.”

“…No, Yuki-“

“I’m just dumb… I did it because I felt frustrated… you know? Because I’m a stupid idiot that can’t help but feel jealous towards your wives for all the love you give to them…”

“Eh?”

“I… I’m so selfish… I want some of that love too… I’ve been there with you since the beginning, but I never wanted to accept these feelings because I thought it was dumb, I thought you were a dumb lizard…”

“Ah…”

“But you’re not! You’re… an incredible person, a wonderful man… You’re the man I’ve always loved…”

Yuki started crying, as Drake’s heart sank.

“I’m sorry… I won’t bother you again about these things… It’s my fault that-“

“No, Yuki, I am sorry…”

Drake quickly held her hand gently, as Yuki was surprised, he approached her, looking at her beautiful golden eyes.

“I am the fool here, for having made you cry… I am sorry for never noticing. I simply thought that you weren’t into those kind of things, that you would find someone else eventually or something…”

“I-I guess we were both idiots?”

“Hahah… I guess we are.”

Drake and Yuki’s lips grew closer, as he kissed her lovingly, hugging her gently over the bed.

Yuki didn’t let go of his kiss, although surprised at first, she closed her eyes, feeling his warm lips on her own, her heart beating faster and faster.

Once their lips separated, Drake looked at her in the eyes, his gaze filled with love and determination to never let go of her again.

“I love you, Yuki…”

“D-Drake… Really?”

“Are you seriously asking that after I kissed you like that? Haha… yes, I do. I already loved you before, you’re… not just a friend, you’re my family.”

“I-Idiot… It’s not the same thing… but…”

Yuki fell silent for a moment, looking back at him.

“I’m… I’m so happy…”

She cried even more, smiling adorably.

Drake had never seen her smile like this, her tears of happiness dazzling brightly.

He already loved her, but now, he had truly fallen for such beauty.

She might be snarky and have a strong attitude but… deep down, Yuki was an incredibly sweet and kindhearted girl.

“And I’ll make sure that you become the happiest.”

He held her hands over the bed, as they continued kissing passionately, Yuki quickly wrapping her tail around his waist, while her legs spread open almost by instinct.

“Aaah~ Drake…!”

She felt his passionate kisses over her neck, her face, her shoulders, and then slowly towards her chest.

“Yuki… Is it okay?”

“Yes…! I’m yours…! I’m yours Drake…! Aaah~!”

Yuki completely opened her heart, letting the girl she truly was finally out, and embracing the love of her life, as both passionately showed their affection through the night.

A night both of them would never forget.
