Buzz—
The massive ship continued soaring into the distance, sunlight pouring over everything as the branches of the Five Elements Crane Spirit Tree swayed happily in the breeze. Chen Xun glanced back, intrigued. He’d scouted around already and confirmed that in Da Li, there wasn’t any precedent for a tree spirit transforming into a full-bodied entity.
However, something seemed to be holding back Little Crane’s progression—it was like it had hit a bottleneck. Chen Xun couldn’t yet tell if it would start losing its vitality over time, but once they reached the Grand World, he hoped to find a solution.
Half a month passed, the skies cleared, and the world ahead stretched into a vast green expanse. They’d finally reached Heaven’s End Plains.
Old Ox ambled over to Chen Xun with a few cheerful snorts, his tail wagging happily after emerging from seclusion just a half hour earlier. He could sense his cultivation increasing with every moment, his body nourished by the world’s Five Elements essence.
Settling contentedly at Chen Xun’s side, he felt peace like never before.
“Alright, everyone! Let’s get to work!” Chen Xun called out.
“Count me in, Brother Xun! I’m all set!” Xiao Chi hopped forward, equally enthusiastic, feeling like they were marching toward a brighter future.
Sunlight streamed down warmly, casting its golden glow across the plains as they moved, filling every inch of Heaven’s End with vibrant green. Under that brilliant sky, the massive ship drifted like a gentle breeze, lighthearted and free.

Half a Day LaterXiao Chi led Chen Xun and Old Ox through the edges of Heaven’s End Plains, the flame mark on his brow glowing as his divine sense spread outward. Soon, he was darting into the ground, digging up all sorts of treasures like spirit beast eggs, spirit herbs, and precious ores, much to Chen Xun and Old Ox’s amazement.
They moved from one place to another, digging at least a dozen large holes. Some were even reinforced with flame-powered barriers, which Xiao Chi quickly dismantled and gathered up.
“Brother Xun, Old Ox, check if there’s anything you need,” Xiao Chi called, practically vibrating with excitement. “These are my personal stash, gathered over a thousand years—those Foundation Establishment spirit beasts never had a clue!”
“You keep them, Xiao Chi. Stashing all this loot couldn’t have been easy,” Chen Xun replied with a smile. “If we’ve got food to eat, there’ll always be dishes for you to wash!”
“Moo! Moo!” Old Ox chuckled; the scene brought back memories of their days in the Ningyun Mountains. Xiao Chi was practically a mirror image of their younger selves.
“No problem, Brother Xun!” Xiao Chi responded earnestly, not fully understanding the “washing dishes” part. “Whatever you need, I’m your guy!”
After another few hours of enthusiastic digging, with Old Ox pitching in here and there, they managed to pack up Xiao Chi’s entire stash. Those hidden pits spanned surprisingly far, popping up in unexpected places every time.
Chen Xun watched the scene with a hearty laugh, patience evident on his face.
“All done, Brother Xun!” Xiao Chi poked his head up, covered in bits of grass. “Everything’s packed!”
Old Ox poked his head out too, wearing a simple, happy look, ever the reliable companion in Brother Xun’s presence.
“Alright, team—next stop, grabbing some Extinguishing Spirit Stones!”
“Moo!”
“Right behind you, Brother Xun!”
They cheered as they took off across the green plains, leaving their ship and Little Crane to follow along like a faithful shadow.

Heaven’s End Ravine
In the dim light, Extinguishing Spirit Winds whipped through the massive canyon, powerful enough to drain spirit energy and extinguish divine senses.
Buzz—
Their giant ship crept cautiously into the ravine, looming over the abyss below. The three figures standing at the helm exchanged gleeful, scheming smiles, their bandit outfits complete with calculating glints in their eyes. Any glimmer of spirit stone that dared flash nearby was immediately “acquired” under their rule of rounding up!
As the ship blended into the shadows, the branches of the Five Elements Crane Spirit Tree extended, sweeping up Extinguishing Spirit Stones from all directions. The continuous rumble of stone was like sweet music to their ears.
Each of them soared into the air, splitting up with enthusiastic shouts.
Xiao Chi inflated his body, fully in his element in this challenging terrain. With his flame-powered divine sense slightly dampening the Extinguishing Spirit Winds, he shouted, “Brother Xun, tons of spirit stones, just lying around!”
“Perfect! Alright, team, scoop up whatever you can—no need to be greedy!” Chen Xun laughed, echoing Xiao Chi’s cheer.
“Moo!”
Stones clinked and clattered as enormous chunks of Extinguishing Spirit Stones piled onto the ship’s deck. The efficiency of their operation would have stunned anyone, and yet the stones in the vast ravine hardly seemed to dwindle.
Old Ox raised his hoof, revealing hundreds of storage rings in his possession. Wealth was the only thing he didn’t lack.
Boom! Boom!
The echo of their harvest filled the ravine, as Chen Xun sliced through the air with his dual axes, sweeping up stones from all directions. It was like collecting spirit stones with abandon; who could resist such a bounty?
However, he kept an eye on the sealed three-eyed beings in the depths of the ravine. The stones’ energy didn’t feed into the seal, so Chen Xun felt safe enough to take what he needed.
Old Ox had also picked up on this, noting that the seals weren’t maintained by formations but by the massive stones veined with purple and gold.
Chen Xun looked at him, nodding slightly, but neither dared disturb the seals. Despite his formidable cultivation, he couldn’t shake an instinctive unease around those ancient entities.
In a world of unknowns, respect was essential—especially in this mystical realm.
“Old Ox, I think these might’ve come from the Grand World,” he said through a private channel, his gaze focused. “To have broken through dimensional barriers and ended up here, their backstory must be huge.”
“Moo!” Old Ox agreed, snorting softly. He didn’t pause his careful work, staying focused on the task.
Meanwhile, Xiao Chi danced joyfully in the distance, blissfully immersed in his excavation efforts, proving once again that sometimes, the less you know, the more carefree you can be.
