MY WEREWOLF SYSTEM

Chapter 1225 - 1225: Panic Set's In

After defeating the Werewolves in the storage unit, the three were quick to move to their next destination.

The aim was to try and locate Ozacas’ son Blake and where he might be.

Edvard had trained directly with Blake and Innu, so he knew their talent, when he saw they were missing as well with who had been protecting them he was quite surprised he had perished yet at the same time, wasn’t so much considering they had managed to also best one of the Ironfang members.

Currently they were walking through the streets. Talking as they were deciding the best course of action.

“There are three Botanic Gardens that we had gained control of, all of them were next to each other, on the southeast side of the city,” Edvard explained. “The latest one, no longer with an Ironfang was where your son was sent to.”

“However as I’ve mentioned a large number of werewolves have moved into those Botanic Gardens after Lupus had gotten involved himself.”

“Things aren’t the same as before, since the Ironfangs have been defeated in those areas, there are more token Werewolves, at least that was the last report that we got from Cooper as it’s difficult for us to check things fully right now.”

“Right, so what do you think happened to Blake? We know they defeated an Ironfang, then what, if he’s missing, did he run into another pack of Werewolves after being badly hurt, or is he in hiding?” Donald asked.

This was the question that was also on Ozacas’s mind.

“Unlike some of the other hunters, they haven’t been confirmed to have perished, which could mean anything,” Edvard said. “But let’s assume, they are in hiding, or they have been captured. Most likely it will be the Ironfang and the garden that is located closest.”

“We can head there and ask questions and then search from there, but I warn you all it’s going to be tough,” Edvard stated. “From what we know, Lupus is still out there somewhere in the city. When we attack, we need to take down the Ironfang as quickly as possible before Lupus gets there.”

Rather than searching Edvard believed this was the quickest way to finding those that were lost.

In Edvard’s mind there was a better chance at the two of them being captured rather than in hiding and to not make contact, that was if they were at least alive.

As for why they would be captured, it might have seemed stupid to many of the Altered Hunters but not to Edvard.

‘If they’re strong, and they were able to capture them without having to put up too much of a fight, they would take them in, so they could add them to the Pack. With the Pack rules they could make it so they could somewhat follow them.’

‘They couldn’t completely control them, but still have them under their wing without any harm.’

The three of them agreed, Edvard was the head of the Altered Hunters for a good reason, so they went along.

Traveling through the city, it didn’t appear as if they had too much trouble. To be careful they had taken longer routes and crowded areas where they had to wait, causing their travel time to rise quite a bit.

Since it was during the day, even when they entered the Botanic Garden, they had done so as guests with tickets.

The major issue was, the scanners to enter and the checked baggage.

But with Edvard up ahead, he seemed to have said something to one of the workers, and they had turned off the machine to let them through.

Once again the group were baffled but they decided to let it slide, especially since it wasn’t the time to ask questions, it was the time for them to act.

‘I can smell them, there are definitely Werewolves in this garden, and it isn’t one of the ones that we took over, but why is the smell… why is it so weak?’ Edvard started to think.

Regardless he didn’t say anything and followed his nose. Eventually the three of them went off the standard path that tourists were allowed to take.

They went deep into the thickness of the large garden and changed their equipment, getting it ready.

Right after, Edvard could see a ladder that connected to one of the large trees and a pathway between the large glass biomes that were meant to imitate large flowers but it was the water and nutrient system for the rest of the plants in the garden.

Edvard quickly scaled the ladder and propped himself up, he then dashed towards the first person he could see walking on the pathway. They saw him reach out to attack the man, but from Donald and Ozacas position they couldn’t see much.

“Come on, we need to follow him,” Donald said. “The Ironfang is going to be hard even for him to take out.”

They scaled up, and as they did they could see the trail of bodies that were left.

They were wounded, killed quick and easy, it was quite the mess and thankfully was off the regular path where the others would go.

The two continued to follow as they just looked at the trail of the dead, a lot hadn’t even transformed, but they had to trust Edvard knew which ones were Altered and which ones weren’t.

As they went ahead they could see the door to a facility broken wide open.

Then when they entered they could see Edvard standing there with his foot on top of a Werewolf, who had already passed.

“It appears that we have a problem,” Edvard stated. “There’s no Ironfang here, and not just here, but the other Botanic Gardens nearby, they are all gone.”

“They’re all gone, what do you mean?” Donald asked.

“They’ve moved to the ones that we had taken over,” Edvard answered. “Where we are meant to be meeting the reinforcements tonight.”

As they looked out, the sun had already set, and the reinforcements were set to only meet in a few hours.
