"BEHOLDDDDDD MY MASTERPIECE YET!" Jin shouted as he lay on the floor when the 99.99999% had turned to 100% with zero decimal points on it. At the same time, he managed to time it right that it was a critical hit! He was sure that he had gotten at least 100 critical hits and that should drastically "I cannot do this on a regular basis.
This is going to kill me." Jin said to himself as he saw the light and smoke started to emerge from that 100% number and spread across the entire slum area which everyone had avoided for the past two weeks or so.
That transformation also included the lane which had been cordoned off by the King in order to make sure that water was available for the new residential quarters. And poof! More high rise buildings in the area emerged that went beyond the height of the capital city’s walls. And the commoners who were going about their daily lives stopped what they were doing to see these buildings erect into place.
Yes, what Jin did was the premium housing of the modern world. Condominiums with a shared swimming pool, gym, and even a playground for the kids to play. His subjects who were employed by En Moy had come rushing in to see if the King was okay, especially since he had not eaten nor slept for 2 weeks straight.
"Yeah, I’m fine. I am able to not eat for 1 month and it’s still okay." Jin yawned as he scratched his body a little due to the itches which he could not possibly worry about when he put his focus into hammering and dealing with issues as his subjects presented to him at the side.
"At this rate, your Majesty would be known as the builder of Ress." En Moy said as he too had finally rushed into his side.
"Nah, it’s not that bad, to be honest. Now, it’s your turn to do things. Present this to all the commoners and nobles to see. By the way, have you found suitable land as I had requested?"
"Yes, the land has been allocated and it is deep within the only mountain of Ress. We had also started hauling the remaining timber and metal that we had collected from the Portals to that area...as well as the hoard of ores you had in your possession. And may I ask why is Portal 7 a desert? We did attempt to harvest the sands and found several mini crystals hidden within them. But that’s all of it."
"Yeah, I know. But is the quantity a lot or the quality of the crystals good?"
"Granted, it’s not as abundant as a crystal cave but it is of a decent amount. The quality is roughly C to B Ranks." En Moy said and Jin nodded his head."Continue to dig and collect. After that, wait for an earthquake in Portal 7. Search the cracks of the earthquake and that is what I would want. In the meantime, continue to collect." Jin replied and En Moy did not probe any further while continuing to follow the King’s orders, allowing the ministry’s employees to go in and survey the flats and rooms.
With everyone under one big ’ministry’, everyone had to contribute to the work of surveying the houses. Count the number of flats available and check the designs of the housing and subsequently start to assign flats to the registry of people in the slums. (That had already been done when they were all residing in the noble quarters.)
As promised, the people who were previously living in the slums that had been assigned to various empty noble houses would be transferred to the houses. And Jin was serious when he told the Red Viper Gang about hygiene and cleanliness. A few of the houses complied with it to the dot, and the noble quarters were still spotless clean when investigators did a spot check.
In short, the people who passed the cleanliness and hygiene checks were the first to move back to the new places. But there were still some processes that needed to be done before they could go in.
Besides, Jin had wanted the government workers to survey because he was going to open the condominiums as an open exhibition so that everyone could see the difference between living the medieval way compared to possibly living in a modern city.
The houses had everything the warehouse would have too. Elevators, Lights, Water, and solid concrete floor and walls that could last for ages and not rot. When the ministry finally opened the floodgates for people to see when it was announced, everyone was mesmerised by the simple and convenient concept of modern housing.
It did not take long for them to become interested and queried whether the ministry would be able to sell them such houses. The ability to get water from their own house was something a lot of them were dying for. The ability to shower so easily and flush their waste with just one button was something that they had never seen before.
En Moy assured that everyone would have their houses upgraded but it would come at a price. Even the people from the slums would be paying for the construction that the King had made and the kingdom would be doing everything to ensure that these people would take a job through the portals regardless of the role.
If payment had not been met, then the housing rights would be taken away from them and they would be moved to a smaller flat instead. Something similar to a subsided flat since Jin wanted to let people know that with him around, there would be no one who would not have a roof under their heads. But what he needed the citizens of Ress to do was to work, work, work, and do more work.
Because the next project that he was going to do was to create a manufacturing factory. Those bullets and inscription charms would not be inscribed on those bullets by themselves. The improvised smithing can do it to a certain degree but he could definitely do it all the time.
And speaking about bullets, the issue of training the soldiers who had signed up, there were so many things that he had to do and yet there was almost no time for it.
"Urgh if only I had Kraft to take over the training.... Otherwise, I would not have such headaches." Jin said as he was headed to one of the condo penthouses and temporarily claimed it as his so that he could take a long cold shower in the bustling heat that he had to handle.
"As they said, ask and it shall be given to you." A familiar voice came from behind just as Jin was fully naked and turned on the showers. Like an innocent girl, Jin accidentally let out a ’kyaa~’ sound which prompted this person with that familiar voice to slam his hand on the wall, resulting in a ’kabedon’.
"Oh, Jin. It is always so fun to tease you." Kraft said while giving the most ’ikemen’ (pretty) face he could ever produce and Jin immediately wanted to bash him almost immediately but the Devil himself stopped him.
"Oh, Jin. If you do that, you are going to destroy this particular building that you work so hard on. So much so that you are sweating tears." Kraft said and Jin released his fist and sighed.
"Just get out of here and let me shower in peace." Needless to say, Jin was actually secretly happy like a girl who felt that her hero had come for her when she needed help the most. "How the hell are you here?"
"What do you mean, how the hell am I here? Of course through crossing the portal. How else do I come here? What a stupid question. Shouldn’t you be more grateful that I am here instead? I mean the last I remembered you were all alone stuck in some foreign world, I was not there for you.
So, here your favourite fox had decided to pay you a visit to see how you are?" Read exclusive adventures at .com
"I am guessing that thought came like a second the moment I went in, right?"
"Erm more or less. I did know of the time differentiation which is why I hesitated for a second." Kraft smiled as he went out of the room to wait. It was until Jin came out, that Kraft was looking at how pathetic this kingdom was.
"Not bad. I went through the thoughts of the people remotely. You are doing a good job here. Everyone feared but at the same time adored you too."
"Ew, adored." Jin said as he smiled after he got out of the toilet fully clothed to prevent another ’not so accidental’ incident. He was delighted to know that there was someone here that he could trust fully.
