The aftermath was brutal.
Even after killing the king, the remaining defenders continue to fight against the Demon Horde due to the lack of information being passed around. Still, it did not take long for the rest to finish the job and finally call it a day. Some even felt that they should done this a long time ago then to adhere to proper military conventions.
After all, which 'demon' horde would follow such strict discipline rather than to rampage? But the casualties that they suffered were undoubtedly more than expected since every single monster had been given the order to just rush and flood the entire city with numbers. It was to the point where there were friendlies who were killed because of the stampede rush that they had done. This was especially true for the giants and large trolls who had been moving around, impeded by the stampede since they were the ones causing the unnecessary killing of their friendlies due to their size.
That was also why the Rifle Mages that had been stationed to evacuate the citizens of Ends had been given the green light to stop all the giants and trolls from moving forward after the destruction of the living fortress wall that the humans had fused. Naturally, the Rifle Mages that were given the command were none other than the Commando Mages and with No.8 taking charge once again, their precision in killing the Giants and trolls was more than sufficient in clearing the objectives their king wanted.
And with Ends cleared, the Southern Kingdom Alliance had finally been destroyed, leaving the remaining two Kingdoms west of Ress to see the pure destruction that had happened. Jin sent them an olive branch, telling them they could either sign up to be his vassal states or risk dying alone by the Demon Hordes.
Obviously, the King did not send the olive branch with just a message that look more like a threat letter, rather he sent pictures of the aftermath that Ends as well as the current state of the other southern kingdoms as proof that their kingdom would be squashed by the Demon Horde. It did not take long for them to understand the situation and immediately gave their reply to Jin, providing him the sufficient power and status to take them in under Ress' wing.
With that done, the King of Ress alongside the ministry had provided a roadmap for the integration of the new two kingdom vassal states but more importantly, it was to hint the ministry that Jin was about to leave. Both his general and the ministry leaders were bewildered by the utter complete 'genius' of their king.
He not only helped defend Ress from the outer threats, but right now he had gave Ress an elevated status to be the standing empire of this particular world. All the threats that could harm Ress in the short term had been taken care of and what the ministries in Ress had to do was to make sure things move on as it is.
The only difference is that Jin was gunning for the long term and told them that the automated factories in the Southern Kingdom Alliance were not to be touched. They had defences attached to them and only certain people within the ministry were able to access it in order to make sure that the resources were continuously being poured into those places properly. Of course, the System will coordinate such work if necessary and will still treat those people and their future generations as threats if they do not obey the rules.
In short, it meant that the Southern Kingdom Alliance would be entirely under the System's control. No one is able to touch it unless explicit permission is given by the System to which Jin had assigned the name the King's Afterthoughts. Especially when Jin was about to leave Atopia and back to the real world. Everything would be a blur, especially with the difference in timing. Even right now, the System said that barely five seconds had passed in Jin's world and when Jin returned, it would feel as if he had gained new powers from the System just for disappearing for a few seconds.Jin chuckled at the System's comment as only the both of them knew how much effort the Dungeon Supplier had put in to make this kingdom work. It was a learning experience for him as much as it was a sudden forced trial by Baal. And speaking of him, the System had ensured that the trial had been passed, and the moment the User returned to his home world, Baal would regain at least 90% of his former powers.
"Well, that's a relief. Otherwise, coming to this place would have been a waste." Jin remarked so casually that it offended the very companion who had been following him all this while. Experience tales at empire
Mr Hammer.
"You do know that it hurts me when you say that?" Mr Hammer replied.
"Okay okay, I jest a little too much. You have been a great help so far. In fact, you are indispensable. Without you, I would not have been able to create my dungeons and new buildings, pushing me to higher heights." Jin said as he tapped gently on Mr Hammer as if he was a pet.
"Well, glad that I am of good service, otherwise I would curse you the way I curse the Celestial Beings."
"Ehh… I did ask whether you were okay working with them in the future." Jin retorted and the Hammer sighed a little.
"I will not deny that the ones you met were somewhat the good guys despite the bad footing we had at the start but that does not mean I will forgive the race entirely as a whole."
"I am just saying, there are bad apples mixed with the good ones…or is it the other way around for them." Jin scratched his head a little.
"You know, sometimes it felt like you are smart for certain things but stupid at others. But I will say, I am looking forward in your journey to find that culprit or organisation who messes with both the Demon and Celestial Plane." Mr Hammer replied.
"Tsk. Do you think I do that for fun? Everything I do is actually for my Dungeon Supplier store. Solving world problems might have been my sideline but earning money for my Dungeon store had always been the first priority. As such, the first thing I go back to is to create a raid dungeon as huge as the Southern Kingdom Alliance." Jin smiled as he felt that his job was more or less done. Just a simple farewell to the people he interacted and he could be on his way back to reality.
This was especially true since they would never see Jin again. Perhaps their future generation will. Other than that, it was a roller coaster ride for him attempting to manage an entire kingdom. He felt that if he could handle a kingdom for a year, he should be able to handle multiple business fronts in various multiverse and dimensional planes for many years to come. It would be hard at the start but he was confident he and the System could do it with his new found abilities.
Thus, it was time to establish that front prior to setting up shop proper in all those multiverse before going for the Celestial and Demon planes.
