"Good Day." The one who showed the sign raised turned his palm into an invitation for a handshake. But to Jin and his group, they felt relieved that they were able to speak Chinese.
"Your appearance came rather…erm too soon." Jin could never expect a group of professional looking Indians waiting for them in front of their stores just for this.
"Vishnu told us to come as quickly as possible to pass the message. We need to use a teleport scroll to enter here, with proper permission of course, if you are worried that we are illegal crossovers." The leader of the messenger said. "However, time is short, mainly due to our return teleport timing. So, the following message had been encrypted into this thumb drive within the envelope."
"You can pass me your Mechat account and I will give you the information needed to access the thumb drive as well." The messenger said as he instantly opened his Mechat account to get the contact from Jin. The two of them did not hesitate to exchange their numbers and soon the lady behind them informed the lead messenger that their portal was opening. Experience tales with empire
They nodded their heads in a friendly exchange before the portal opened and the group disappeared right in front of them. "Well, that was rather…fast?" Jin commented that he had requested the system to scan the thumb drive for any possible intrusion when they returned to the store.
"You are not going to return to the store right now?" Lynn asked and he shook his head. Somehow, Qiu Yue somehow got the drift and for the moment, she decided to pull out an excuse to get herself away from the situation but it seems work had given her a helping hand. The construction team in the Farming World sent a message to her, asking the Red Panda to take a look at a future phase of the construction for the Pandarens possible buying of real estate.
She bid goodbye telling them the reason for her leave and Jin thanked her profusely for continuously aiding him. Qiu Yue acted closely by squeezing his neck a little from the back before walking away and teleporting right into public space. If such an event happened twice in other places, they would have thought that these people were rich and able to afford teleport scrolls but the fact that the entire Tree Mall had been controlled by the System, most who were staying in here or played the dungeon supplier store had gotten used to the fact that people would always teleport away into the store once their number had been activated.
This has been the case for improving and extending shopping experiences while waiting for their turn. Surely, the dungeon supplier store had its own set of shopping streets inside of it as well but the Tree Mall had become a one stop for everything with many major brands including luxury ones wanting a piece of this attraction.
The ability to open up a dimensional store with low rental and absurd decoration possibilities had enabled many store owners to try their luck in selling their own goods. It was a cutthroat fight for a lot of the stores because of the myriads of choices but more importantly, the ability to not employ a human but rent an NPC from the dungeon store had become a breeding ground for debate whether AI or humans would be the best store keeper while the owners earn profits.
Of course, the ultimate winner was Jin to was able to dish out such advanced store options for people to rent at such low prices that he was effectively killing competition around the Tree Mall. The only difference was that Jin had always willing to compensate those stores within a certain radius and gave them an additional 10-25% discount from the usual rental if they were put up their store here. After all, to Jin and the System, it was merely adding one more dimensional instance within the System's grasp and does not amount to much processing power to do so."It's funny how when it is just you and me, I still do not feel at peace." Lynn was the first to start the conversation.
"Why do you say that?" Jin was surprised that she opened the topic that way.
"Because it dawned upon me that I cannot be there for you for everything. No matter how hard I tried to aid you, the whims of fate would bring you to places where I am unable to reach you. Not to mention, I do not have the same capability as you when it comes to fighting. Qiu Yue might have a better shot as a fighting partner than me." Lynn poured her worries out.
"Not only that, even the System started to learn how I cook stuff otherwise, all those penguins that I trained would not have the same calibre or maybe better than me at certain dishes. At some point, I might not be needed."
"I will admit even our resident Devil Fox also said that Qiu Yue is improving at a pace that astonishes him. Bringing her to a fight would no doubt be the right decision but that did not mean that she was willing to spend her entire life with me. I know her enough that she is ambitious and greedy too." Jin began to stroll slowly and Lynn followed him at his pace.
"So I figure that she might still want me-ow!"
"Yeah! She wants you!" Lynn was so quick in this particular reaction that even Jin was unable to defend from the sneak attack.
"Let me finish!" Jin is helplessly being attacked by the Penguin Cultivator and he wishes he rather fight against the Celestial beings instead.
"No!" Lynn did not care whether she was in a public space or had people seeing as she proceeded to grab Jin and bite his shoulder as a sign of angry but affectionate way of showing her protest. ŕÄɴóβЕȘ
Even though it was just a mere few seconds that he had disappeared, the sudden loss of presence was extremely acute for Lynn, making her realise that he could really someday die instantly somewhere without her knowing. And this was not the first or last time that it will happen.
