Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?
Chapter 1559 1559: The Flora And Fauna Of The Oasis' Jungle—–
Agua was a peculiar girl if anything, she was rather serene, always smiling calmly, most of the time her eyes remained focused even as she talked with everyone, and it would be rare for her to even look at their eyes. Her eyes also seemed unfocused, Aquarina thought that she was blind at first, but that wasn’t the case, she simply seemed to be always just… somewhere else.
She was perhaps in a constant state of tranquility and meditation, one of the theories that Justicio had come out with, the trio constantly discussed these things, bickering with one another while Agua seemed not to care at all.
Nonetheless, they were friendly with her, and as a guide, she was important.
“So this is an area you should never go to,” she pointed into the distance, it resembled a ravine full of spiderwebs everywhere. “That’s the Spider Crab’s Nest, they live together in large swarms and attack anybody close enough, they protect their eggs the most. They’re a delicacy, but we cannot easily get them because of this.”
“Are they? How do they taste?” Aquarina asked.
“Delicious, I remember eating one back when I was ten…” said Agua. “It is a delicacy, usually served boiled. It’s sweet and creamy inside, with a greenish white color inside. I know some people might find giant bug eggs disgusting, but they are truly delicious.”
“I see…” Justicio nodded. “Well I wouldn’t mind giving it a taste once.”
“But it’s better if we don’t go- Aquarina?!” Silvia cried as she saw Aquarina beginning to walk towards the nest.
“Huh, so they’re good? I’ll take some then,” she smiled.
“You’ll trigger the spider crabs!” said Agua, panicking a bit, showing a different expression. “I hope you don’t overhunt them either, hero! They are a valuable species of this forest, completely endemic to this area.”
“Worry not,” Aquarina said, as she was covered on her Abyssal Energies and shadows, disappearing into the darkness.
“S-She disappeared?” wondered Agua. “That Element… it wasn’t water? Was it darkness?”
“Yeah, Aquarina’s most proficient at Water, but her second strongest element is Darkness and Shadows, she inherited that from her dad,” said Justicio.
“She’s getting better at Earth Magic as well!” said Silvia. “Oh right, I guess she’s very good at ice magic too, but you consider it the same with water magic?”
“I see… and yes, we consider it the same, water and ice elements are the exact same, just different forms of the same element,” explained Agua. “This is the reason why every person that can wield water magic can use ice magic with enough practice, and viceversa.”
“That’s interesting…” nodded Justicio. “Are there other connected elements out there?”
“Yes, the most common is Earth and Metal Elements,” explained Agua. “They are also very closely related and- Ah! She’s back?!”
As Agua explained, she noticed Aquarina sneaking out of the nest undetected, moving through the shadows themselves and appearing behind them.
She showed her hands, showcasing four large white colored eggs, they resembled giant grains of rice rather than normal eggs.
Aquarina found out they had a soft, warm texture similar to sticky rice or mochi too, a sweet made out of rice.
“Y-You did it so easily?” asked Agua. “Surely, you left some to hatch later as well?”
“Don’t worry, I did,” nodded Aquarina. “I am not dumb after all; I know monsters could go extinct from that.”
“You’re too kind, heroine of waters!” said Agua, with a fascinated expression in her face.
“I’m shocked too…” Justicio said.
“Yep, this is just crazy, you can just infiltrate places like that? Since when?!” Silvia asked.
“What are you talking about? I’ve been able to do this neat trick all the time,” said Aquarina. “It’s nice to the touch and warm! I’ll save them for now.”
She quickly stored them inside of her inventory ring, smiling she got a nice new snack to try.
“It’s amazing… the heroine is truly incredible! But for now I think we should go, before the spider crabs realize there’s something odd,” said Agua.
“Yeah, let’s go!”
Agua continued guiding them through the forest, there were all kind of dangerous places they had to avoid here and there. Silvia and Justicio didn’t even remember all of this from when they came before, it seemed there was someone guiding their families, making the trip easy.
“That is the Crystal Wolf Forest,” Agua said. “It’s a place full of Crystal Trees made of Spirit Stones, the wolves there are covered on these stones too, so their magic power and abilities are very strong.”
“Oh! I remember fighting guys similar to those before,” said Aquarina. “It was in… uh, some sort of ruins back in Agartha.”
“I see… Agartha? Where is that?” wondered Agua.
“Pretty far away~ In the Elven Kingdom,” said Aquarina, crossing her arms.
“Oh wow! You’ve truly gone very far away, hero…” Agua was surprised, interested in the outside world.
She continued guiding them though, focused on her task.
“That’s a cave that has been marked, see all the scratches on the walls? Those are from Panther Tigerants. Dangerous giant panther-like ants that work on large packs like wolves,” explained Agua.
“That smaller spring isn’t a spring actually, it’s a Blue Goo Mimic they mimic small ponds of water and once someone comes to drink water, they catch them and quickly devour them whole, drowning them on their own bodies,” explained Agua.
“That hill over there has a big nest of Pterodactyl Wasps!” she said. “It’s full of giant wyvern-like insects that are very deadly, I would recommend to never get closer… unless you want their delicious, very sweet and aromatic honey that- Ah!”
Aquarina had gone to pick up some honey as well, this time also undetected, making the trip carefree despite the risks she took.
“Hmm, it’s really sweet! Saved for later too~!”
Aquarina, after giving it a taste, saved the rest of the honey inside her inventory ring with a carefree smile.
“Ah, we’re here now…”
Agua, still processing everything, pointed into the distance, the Oasis was already within sight, and it was more beautiful the more they approached.
