Chapter 1043 - 1043: Temporary Alliance

Thirteen, Camazotz, and Zapar all sat on top of a mountain peak, where they talked about the recent changes in the continent.

Zapar seemed to have gained a permanent frown ever since he learned that Camazotz had also crossed over to Pangea.

The members of the Order of the Apocalypse were not allowed to eliminate each other.

Doing so would have their qualifications terminated, resulting in them being kicked out of the organization.

This included the forces under their command.

They might have some conflicts, but a full-scale war between the members of the organization never happened. They all knew that Metatron wouldn’t turn a blind eye to it.

“Okay, let me get this clear,” Zapar said after hearing everything that Zion had to say. “Currently, the Wanderers of this world have a temporary alliance with the Jinns. The goal of this alliance is to deal with any other third parties who might break the status quo, am I correct?”

“You’re right.” Thirteen nodded. “That’s the gist of it.”

“Also, the forces of the Artemian Kingdom have also arrived here.” Zapar rubbed his chin. “I already have the data of the Azothralls, and I can say—they are indeed dangerous biological weapons.”

Zapar paused before glancing at Zion. “So, aside from the Artemians, are there any other threats that I should be aware of?”

“There is another thing that you should know.” Thirteen nodded. “Although they’re not a third party, a powerful faction from Gomorra has arrived.

“They are the Dragonkins, and according to my allies in the Jinn Armies, they are the strongest faction in the Central Continent of Gomorra. They have two Majin Princes and a Majin Princess among their ranks.”

Zapar’s face became grim. By the looks of it, his goal of world domination was being pushed back once again.

On the other hand, Camazotz looked very much at ease as if having more enemies of his level wasn’t a big deal.

“So, what are your plans?” Thirteen asked. “Do you plan to seize a territory of your own? Or should we cooperate until all threats are dealt with?

“I know we belong to different factions in the order, so we haven’t interacted much. But you’ll be safer if you join our team. At least for now.”

The Death Bat smirked, curious to see if Zapar would decide to go solo or temporarily team up with him and Thirteen.

“Do I even have a choice?” Zapar replied. “At least I know the two of you won’t kill me.”

“You made the right decision, Zapar.” Camazotz smirked. “Welcome to the winning team!”

Thirteen eyed the Majin Prince, whose two horns were like carved obsidians and whose eyes looked like molten amethysts.

Zapar was quite good-looking. He looked like a silver-haired elf with demonic horns, making him a unique existence even among the Majins of the Order of the Apocalypse.

One of his abilities was to manipulate the desire of his targets, particularly the ladies.

Fortunately, the ladies in Thirteen’s life were off-limits to him, so he didn’t have to worry about Zapar manipulating his lovers, friends, and family to do his bidding.

“You’re thinking about bad things about me right now, right?” Zapar said to Thirteen, who was paying close attention to him.

“I’m not,” Thirteen replied. “I’m just thinking that your ability is something we can use at this point in time.”

There was another reason why the teenage boy wasn’t too worried about Zapar.

The Majin Prince was also cannon fodder, which made him one of his people.

Even now, Zapar could feel some inexplicable sort of familiarity toward Thirteen.

Although the Majin Prince wouldn’t admit it, every time he looked at the teenage boy, he felt as if he was looking at a very close friend whom he could trust.

Back then, he thought that the Thirteen might have used some kind of manipulation ability on him.

He even secretly consulted Metatron about it, but the Gods of the Apocalypse only chuckled and told him that he was perfectly fine and was not under some kind of charm or mind control ability.

“So, what now?” Zapar asked. “The way I see it, this situation is messy, no?”

Thirteen nodded because he agreed with the Majin Prince’s statement.

“I will try to ask my allies to set a meeting with the Dragonkins,” Thirteen said. “However, I will not be there to talk to them. I will leave the talking to you, Zapar.”

Since Athena couldn’t use her trump card, Thirteen wouldn’t place himself in harm’s way.

He didn’t know how the Dragonkins would react after seeing him.

They could simply kill him and get it over with.

Since their forces were stronger than the Artemians, they might think that they could simply eliminate those who stood in their way.

However, Camazotz and Zapar were two beings that they wouldn’t be able to eliminate easily.

Camazotz was fast.

Extremely fast, that if he wished to escape, only a handful among the Jinns would be able to catch up to him.

As for Zapar? Thirteen wanted him to go to the meeting so that he could use his powers to charm the ladies of the Dragonkin and make them serve as spies for him.

Of course, he would also participate in the meeting through a projection, ensuring his safety at all times.

“Both of you should settle in the northwest of the continent, close to the territory of the Wanderers,” Thirteen said. “That way, both sides will be able to act together during an emergency.”

Zapar crossed his arms over his chest before asking a question.

“Thirteen, I know you and the Artemians have a feud,” Zapar stated. “Has it ever crossed your mind that they would ally with the Jinns first to capture you?”

“I am aware of that possibility,” Thirteen replied. “But being aware of that possibility doesn’t change things. In fact, I am actually more worried about my allies in the Jinn Faction because of the appearance of the Dragonkins.”

“Even in Solterra, the Dragonkins are the most arrogant Jinns in existence.” Zapar smiled wryly. ” If not for the fact that Baal is stronger than him, Fafnir might have already forcefully created a faction of his own within the Order of the Apocalypse.”

There were four factions in the Order of the Apocalypse, each headed by Thirteen, Baal, Beelzebub, and Zagan.

The strongest faction was Baal’s faction, at least for now.

“I will ask the Central Government to help you relocate your troops,” Thirteen said. “Just make sure to warn your subordinates that they are not food, okay? Do not forget, the three of us will be having a temporary alliance until all threats are dealt with.”

Camazotz and Zapar smiled faintly at Thirteen’s reminder.

For the Jinns, the Wanderers had always been food.

However, there was a Wanderer that they could never eat, and it was none other than the teenage boy, whose strength was something they couldn’t measure due to how mysterious he was.
