Number One Dungeon Supplier

Chapter 2245 : Clearing the Skeletons in the Closet

"Alright, even this public affection is making me feel embarrassed," Lynn whispered as she could sense that there were people secretly taking videos or photos of them showing their display of love out in the open. She pulled herself away and gave the widest smile possible in respond to the confirmation of love that Jin had presented himself.

"This is what happens when I do not see you for a few seconds. Imagine, years?" Jin teased as he realised he was still clutching onto the letter that the Indian guy had given to him. There was already a notification from his Mechat account and it was pretty obvious that it was from him.

"What the heck is Goodness Gracious All Hail Vishnu?" Jin thought to himself and chuckled a little from the Mechat name. At least he now knows that he was a fervent believer of the Celestial Being he met and if that guy ever knew that he really met with Vishnu in real life, he would be oh so jealous if truly believed what Jin had gone through.

"I guess you better settle what you need to do," Lynn said as she also picked up her phone to check on something. "Just remember to return home on time for your dinner."

"Yes, Mom." Jin cheekily replied and Lynn pouted a little before pinching his arm.

"Speaking of Mom, I suggest you look for Yun. As much as she is an intelligent construct by the System, she has not been returning home for some time and has stayed in the shops for extended periods."

"What? After a few seconds that I am gone and now you are reporting this to me?" Jin questioned and Lynn thought about it for a moment before replying.

"I think the behaviour started ever since you returned from Synthesis World. At first, I thought it was just her doing us a favour, letting you clear all your backlog. But now that you mentioned the word, Mom…" Lynn continued to recall while still pinching onto Jin, even harder this time.

"I thought it would be a good time to visit her. Perhaps, you have matured a little after you know, not seeing her for a few seconds?" Lynn smiled and Jin nodded in response. "Ultimately, it's your choice you know. After all, you are a busy person and you might have a lot of things to handle."

"No worries, paying her a visit would not hurt. Besides, it is true that I had not been rather… responsive to her after learning that erm… it is hard to put it nicely." Jin scratched his head as he made his way back to the dungeon supplier store.

"…Just go take a look at her. That's all I am asking. After all, she did make sure that you were not that alone when you first started this store, right?"

"And also stole all the men's hearts when they learned that she is a mature beauty," Jin replied.

"Hah. So you admit that you did fall for her before."

"Didn't the customers mention me having some Oedipus complex? Hahaha!" Jin teased Lynn which she shrugged off as a joke played by Jin and soon he waved goodbye to her. "I will be back for dinner as promised."

Thus, when Jin entered the Dungeon Supplier Store, the System had already teleported Jin to where Yun was, standing at the information counter of the multistorey train stations where an influx of cultivators and customers were asking for directions. Whether their intentions were true or they just wanted to chat with Yun, that was none of the Boss's concerns.

"Yun, can I have a talk with you? In the Dungeon Instance Creation Room," Jin asked telepathically via a System Channel as her cheery face turned a little more serious when she heard Jin's voice. Their eyes made contact for a moment before she disengaged from the 'fans' and disappeared the moment she put the 'be right back' sign on the information counter.

The System then teleported them once more in an instant into the Dungeon Creation Room and Jin felt that he had never sat in this seat for a very long time. He instantly replicated a chair for Yun to sit down and opened with a standard 'How have you been?'

"Still working for your store. Nothing significant had changed other than the number of customers rolling in. For now, your current dungeon subscription model works and people are pouring in day by day. Would be good if you could have an assistant to help me." Yun said so nonchalantly that it hurt Jin a little knowing that this was something he had created.

"I just like to let you know that I thought it over, and I like to apologise for what I had said or done to you that made you feel miserable."

"What are you talking about?" Yun's eyebrows furrowed a little.

"You are just doing what you need to do. I am an intelligent construct, created from the memories of the original Yun by the System. I do not see why you should apologise to me especially when you are my employer." The System somehow wished to interject but it felt that by doing so would definitely be rubbing more salt on the open wound that the two of them have. In the meantime, the System wanted to see what Jin would say to her.

After all, what Jin had done in Ress was merely managing the entire kingdom, everything is all about work. As much as the System wants to know what the Dungeon Supplier was thinking, he was well versed and trained to the point by Kraft to hide his emotions from the System. Other than frustrations and stress related incidents, there was nothing that had indicated his emotional growth in the past year he stayed in Ress.

The System thought that everything would remain status quo but perhaps it might be wrong, especially after seeing how Jin suddenly cherished Lynn more out of the blue. Of course, this was a win for Lynn, knowing that Jin had started to show more feelings towards her. However, to jump from Lynn to Yun? From an affirmation of love to possibly forgiving Yun?

The System felt like it had to hold on to something to brace for possible impact.
